I dont know if this has been asked or not but what are the New Novak "Light" motors? Tower has them listed as comming soon.....is there any more information on them? Whats new and what makes them "Light"...are they going to have holes in them like the Orion/speed passion motors?

In addition to some new features, the Velociti Light Brushless Motors have also undergone a modification. The new Velociti Light motors have a blue, anodized sleeve around the motor instead of the Velociti motors’ traditional purple. In addition to the aesthetic appeal, the sleeves also help differentiate between the Velociti motors.
All kidding aside, can we hope to buy rings separately at some point?
The fixed sensor wire leads me to believe it's not something we'll see changed down the road. :-(
You guys continue to lead the way in brushless development. Specialized designs for specific applications is pretty cool. I wonder how much longer it will take for people to start winding their own stators for your motors?

I totally inspired this paragraph! :-D

The lightweight motors add another dimension of tunability for brushless!
We've been testing these motors for a while now and feel that they are very useful tuning aids!

Will the micro brushless ESC be able to drive the 540 sized motors? I don't mean do you recommend it, but will the sensor harness even be the same? I'm wondering if there's any chance it could be used to run the slower motors, like a 13.5 and not burst into flames. I love my GTB, but it's not like I'm running a 3.5 or something, and I wouldn't mind using something smaller.

I have an old novak SS with 5800 brushless motor. My question is will it do harm if i set the setting on my transmiter from 100% down to 50% so the car run slower ? B'cos sometimes i let my friend play with my car and he can handle fast car. Will it harm to run half speed all the way in brushless ?

When I suggested working on the weight of the motors I was thinking you could cut down on the iron. But I guess that involves a big investment in tooling modification. Would the motor not have more effeciency if there was the same amount of copper but less iron and still reduce torque?
Higher horsepower and reduced torque is a step in the right direction, will be a good combo with punchy lipo's.
Syndrome raised a very good point on the upcoming micro esc. If the core design is good enough it could evolve into the next gen 1/10 modified controller . Or even be a great stock competition one as it is. Did you guys at novak think of the 1/12th carpet class while you were designing it? Would it work with 10.5t 4 cells?

Wheres the best place to put another fan on the GTB?
My buddy and I just bought some eagle racing motor coolers (like the Blue LRP one) And he is trying to figure out where is the best place, should he do on the pos/neg batt leads, or splice into the on/off wires (if possible) or into the spektrum RX
What do you guys think is the best way?
