Has anyone ran the exotek front end on this yet? I'm thinking of tryin it because it's easier to adjust camber/ caster, just curious if anyone else has any experience with it on this car.

Just my luck they discontinue when I buy one. What are the weak points of this car? You think the upper A arm can break even if its carbon
Fiber?

IMO, The rear carbon shaft is the weakest part. If you crash into a wall sideways it will weaken the shaft and make it bend/split.

If yes, is it a direct fit or you have to modify something? Also, in terms of width, will there be a difference also?

Thanks.
Yes it fits but you will also need the left side hub as well since the 104 hubs have a different offset. Using the 104 axle assembly on a 101 will widen the car 6mm.

I've found the weak point is the front arms, but not from carbon breaking but from balls popping out top and bottom. I've tried to solve and even yesterday when running had them pop out and I didn't hit anything. I've switched the arms over to the exotek as I never once experienced this problem in 4 yrs of running my f104 pro

Has anyone actually broken a carbon shaft. I crashed hard at fasttrax, broke the side links, center plastic piece, that's about it...

Well. You can make it fit with f104 diff housing and f104 wheel adaptor. See the posts above.

Yes, mine broke. It wasn't pretty. It took the rear 1060 bearings with it.

I broke mine as well. Definitely hit the wall hard. So I don't think it's neccesarily a weak part, but without available replacements I think Tamiya has set people up for failure with a somewhat expensive purchase price. I have found the front to be very strong.

Ran its first real race yesterday in the florida state series race and the car was hooked. Set tq and was told that it also set a new track record at the track we were at. As soon as I get the setup sheet finalized I will get it on here for you guys.
