if your receiver is small enough, put it in the gap between your motor and ESC, if not then on top of your servo wold be fine.

haha, I need some of your servo wire on my ESC. The cable is so short it won't fit behind the motor. thankfully it's a small ESC, so it fits between the servo and motor snugly... the receiver is on top of the servo.

Also looking at earlier pictures of your chassis, you might be able to fit it in front of the battery without interfering with steering.

Balances out weight a little, not sure how hard it'd be to wire that way.

FWIW, I just spent a bunch of time costing out converting a regular TA05 to IFS-R specs. This is with price shopping and ordering almost everything from Hong Kong. It was just about $250 before shipping.

...think I'll just buy another entire IFS-R for $250 when the time comes...

I guess you'd have to consider yourself lucky then. I'll choose to play it safe and keep mine on top of the servo, even though I could fit two of em where you have them.

remove the 3 pins from the connector, using a flat blade jewelers' screwdriver. They are typically held in place by a tab that is also part of the pin. After they're out, open up the crimped tabs at the bottom of the wire, taking care not to damage the pin. Then the rest is easy; cut your servo chord to your desired length, strip about 3/8" off each wire, and slide them up into the pins and re-crimp. Gently pull the locking tabs back up, and insert them back into the connector. Be sure that part of wire insulation goes up past the crimp, so if you pull hard on the wire, your work will not get pulled out and ruined.

Yes it would, very much. The IFS part of it is relatively small. The biggies are the TRF shocks, short reversible lightweight suspension, aluminum suspension mounts, and the swing shafts. That's about $175 right there.

I have a TA05R and was thinking about getting the Short arm set, but am getting some conflicting information.

Can I use the swing shafts in the car or do I need shorter ones?

Is there a noticeable performance advantage to the new arms? or only under certain conditions?

Hey guys,

I'm running a 05 that was origionally a IFS but I removed the IFS and added another shock tower at the front. Luckily the kit came with everything needed to swap out that IFS crap!
This has dramatically improved the performance of the car, now she handles like a dream, and managed to race ok a few days ago.
ok well anyways i'm running 70/35 gearing but I really need to lower my FDR to about 3 to 3.5 So I will need to run a 45T pinion gear (for 3.5 FDR).

My question is, will a pinion this size fit? I dont have any to test out so was wondering if any of you guys have run anything similar?
