Core isn't the one who spent a $$$grand$$$ on his. He runs a new TA05R pretty much stock. On his M03M..there are no aftermarket gear sets (there is one but it's junk) and expensive bearings don't help much in them so he's running the ones included with the kit and you're limited by pinion size to 20T so no gearing secrets. Nothing fancy, he can just flat drive. Just watching him out-drive the competition was a blast to watch.

Noticed that too. Though it's hard to see much from that picture it should be a decent kit. It it's well priced it'll do well but chances are it'll carry a similar price to a msxx, which begs the question; what's the point?

I would think with it's better ballance that it should be a better car, superior in every way to the 415.

Oh and yeah...my 05R is stock except the battery strap and towers.

And my M03M with what I added cost $230 total...and no, I use stock bearings and even the stock gear diff.

Core: I love how you've been defending this car to the death! I agree that the equal belt layout offers the best balance and I surprised it hasn't caught on as the "Next Thing" in TC design. I can only suspect that this next series of TA05 upgrades will lead directly to the TRF416 (hopefully retaining the mid motor/equal belt layout)

lol..it seems like I need to defend a lot of the time!

I agree that the f/r ballance is what makes this car what it is. Almost everything else on the car is pretty straight forward stuff. I also agree that if the 05MS or 05MSX doesn't replace the aging 415 the ballnce feature will find it's way to the next car....How many weeks til the REEDY race?

Hey Chris, what info can you get me on the Penguin chassis ect. I'm seriously thinking of running a way tricked 05 at ROAR Nat's and I figured if anyone would know how to find them it would be you.

Mark Dawson (2006 GT1 TCS National Champion) was doing some testing on it. But i havent been able to get a hold of him. From some of the feedback I read from him, he liked the chassis. He's on these threads, I'm sure he'd be glad to help you out.

Funny, i was thinking of running my 05 at reedy. but then again, i need all the help i can get.

Do you know what the 350R is based from?
I think it's the racing version of the Vemac RD350. Too bad both the Japanese and English RD350 pages on Vemac's website are still under construction. Anyways I can't find any info about it online...yet. Here are some pictures:
http://www.ebbro.co.jp/ebbro_race.html

Now how will they mold that HUGE front splitter and intricate front end? And notice the Tamiya decals on the rear wing's endplates...

Either way, makes a sub-zero cool TC body Now I'm really really curious...how do they manage to fit a pushrod suspension on a TA05 front end?

WICKED suspension on the IFS (internal front shock???)

The MS appears to be what everyone had predicted. The question remains if it is a whole kit or a Dual CF Deck upgrade kit?
However, the shock towers and motor mount are identical to the Porcshe RSR kit so it may very well be a complete car kit - complete with standard battery brace (which I prefer over the flat CF one for side by side packs)

Thanks for the info.... "Mr. who shall remain nameless".....
