Can share with us what are the upagrade you had install on your stock TA05? I am seriously considering a TA05. My LHS are not bringing anymore TA05R as they are only keen in getting in the TA05MS for now...

is there anything you need to get hop-up wise right off the bat for this car, or can it be run competitively at local club races? i know it is the "R" version with all the goodies, but as we all know, some cars need one or two pieces necessary to be truly race-worthy. do any exist in the 05R?
thanks
thanks
I'll be looking at the front and rear carbon shock towers and possibly the motor mount next.
First runs went OK, it lacked steering and was rolling all over the place. Predictably the kit oils and springs weren't cutting the mustard. I'd gone with the 4 deg hub cariers too which might need to be changed to the 2 deg ones. The front belt tension wasn't enough to stop it almost tearing itself apart as it rubbed against something in the front bulkhead so there was blue dust everywhere
Killed another V2 as well, fortunately not one of my Oscar Jansens

Any one know how many weight reduce will Tamiya alum motor mount give compared with stock one? Also, the graphit chassis vs stock chassis.
I'm going to run with TCS, only Tamiya option allowed (otherwise I will go for Kawada conv kit)

Does anyone who have the R kit know why it came with one set (2)of lightweight swing shafts and one regular set? The lightweights went up front in the instructions. I just thought that was odd.

Foam Tires for TA 05
I need help which foam tires to get for the TA05 on an outdoor asphalt track. The others racers use nitro shoes in 35-40 shore.
What are some recommendation from all of the TA 05 users. Which tires fit the best, which ones to avoid? Has anyone used GPR tires?
Thanks Rodney

anyone still know where to order Kawada (TUB501) or 3racing CF chassis? Checked everywhere - from eBay to dinball. I emailed RC-champ and they only had the Flip (?) blue CF chassis. I guess with the MS coming out, no one is carrying any cf chassis at all. I spent almost $250 in hop-ups from a bonestock TA05, and if I do plan to sell it there is absolutely no way I'm getting back for even just the hop ups (my chassis is in MINT condition as I only played with it once.) So i've decided keep going for the whole 9 yards.
also, I posted on the last page if anyone knew what Tech Racing's "slipper diff" does? My car is being setup for drift on ABS tires - TR states its for drifting so I was curious as to what it does.
any help is greatly appreciated
