HPI Sprint 2 Mods

Here's my S2 I use in USGT club races. Bought it with Exotek main chassis, GPM towers. I've added the Yeah Racing C-hubs and knuckles, CVD's and tensioner. Running Gens Ace 3800 60c shorty, Hobbywing XERun, Graupner 21.5 motor (for now).
I found I needed more gear than I could find pinions for, picked up a spur adapter for the motor.
Have tried a few HPI/HB swaybar to no avail. Next step before buying the wire to make my own, am trying the bars from the Yokomo YZ-4 buggy. It looks to have similar bulkhead spacing, and plenty of different diameters.
Also used some self ahesive tire weights to bulk up the chassis and move the weight bias forward. CG seems to be at the front edge of the battery now.
Super glued inner and outer front sidewalls, still traction rolls. Hoping the swaybars and some droop adjustments will help.
*New account, won't let me post the pics yet

I'm running the Exotek chassis, still chasing down excessive grip issues, will be trying out the Yeah Racing chassis since it's a thicker deck. Running USGT on a small Ozite track. By the time I got the traction rolling sorted out, it lifts the front wheel through the sweeper. Already have the front roll center as high as it'll go without getting custom ball stud screws and a ton of washers. Will be experimenting with some different doping times/methods, as well as a 26mm front wheels. Running associated touring springs on yeah threaded shocks

I couldn't find any that fit, so I made some out of 2.5 mm stock, HB sway mount that I cut in half, and sway links from an rs4 pro3. will post pics of my creation when it finally lets me. Extremely frustrating that even the pic hosting link the forum supplies isn't allowed...

I just picked up this HPI S2 flux and im having a blast drifting it in my garage but Ive noticed a few issues im trying to address . Im sure this has been covered and I tried to read the whole thread but I didn't see what i was looking for . My issue is that my tensioner bushings seems to be real sloppy and I wanted to replace them with bearings . Has anyone done this and if so what size bearings are recommended . I think I'm going to do the extra tensioner mods as well but 1 thing at a time .lol. Thanks

HPI sprint 2
trying to get an idea; I have a 1 day drift meet HPI Sprint 2 with belt tensioner bearings mod, rear diff lockout for drifting, high end Tough Racing belts with extra new belt set, steering mod for more throw, Front 1 way, front top deck mod for upper belt, other car mods for drifting and it has a speed passion esc, program box, speed passion brushless motor, hitec servo and 350z candy blue body, mint condition. Bought everything brand new! What is a good asking price? PM me for pics as well, thanks

Compatibly... rs4
Hey, sorry if I’m reviving a dead thread (looks like the last post was made in December). I’ve acquired a rs4 3 drift (mid engine rs4) in my thrift store rummaging. I’m not planing on running this as a drift car but as hpi doesn’t seem to be around anymore (I could be wrong) parts are harder to come by. Luckily I have a rs4 MT which most of the drive train parts are interchangeable. I was wondering if any parts from the sprint series might fit, mainly suspension components, mainly non-drift sprint parts like a arms, hubs and bells. From looking at the parts diagram/manual for the sprint, I think it’s doable. Just wondering if anyone has first hand experience with this? Oh both or my rs4’s (3/Mt) are nitro, chassis/wheelbase width isn’t an issue for me.
thanks in advance.
