Hey matey.
Was running the d3 13.5 too and had loads of top
Settings were
Boost50
Turbo10
Min 5500
Max 22000
Ramp 3
Delay 0.02
Throttle profile 5
Timing 100
Fdr 5.5
Timing: +1.5 notches on motor
Temp 60 deg's
Plenty of speed and more than enough punch. Just a shame my setup and driving were not up to it yet (only 2nd outdoor meeting and it's very different from carpet racing!)
Love these motors!
Hope it helps
Paul

Hi Paul. Im guessing the rev range was the thing that let it down then, it felt like it sat reving hard for a while. I'll remember that for the next big track.
Are you doing Adur (STCC) ?
PS it was for a 13.5 motor....DOH !!!

I ran my 10.5 D3 for the first time last night on a medium sized indoor track and all I can say is holy cow....... it's fast.
Using a Black diamond on profile 5 with a 72mm roll out on a 1/12 pan car.
Reading this thread is what made me get one of these bad boys and I really wish I had done it earlier.
ESC temps and Motor temps remained very low (less than 40 deg C) and my battery took around 2,100 mah for each 8 min race.
Previously I had been using a Novak 10.5 turn and it didn't have the punch or top end and the battery took about 3,800 mah each run + it ran between 50 - 60 deg c.
Anybody thinking of a new motor should give the D3 some serious thought.

D3 17.5 start point
Hi all..
Wanting to use the D3, 17.5 with the Kinetic esc. Large flowing out door track. We use around 5.8-6.2 FDR...Any start set ups you can help with would be great..
Not sure and dont want to kill either of them..

For any of you guys looking for a killer deal on some motors look into the Monster Lock motor Trinity has released. Its a D3 with tamper proof windings, a "comm" type lock so the timing ring cant be adjusted or tampered with and is non adjustable timing. Its a killer motor for the price especially for a spec type class that tracks may have that only want to use one motor.
