I just received a new item for the XXX-S. Team PRP shock towers. These are one of only a few non Losi performance parts I have on my car but these towers are exceptional in quality and workmanship!! The added adjustability is amazing. I would think that for carpet as well as pavement they would be a great addition to ones setups. They have great service too! If you have not seen them , go check them out.

was in a friendly race with friends jus now...
took off last from the starting line to avoid the 1st corner crashes(and yes,i'm tat confident tat the xxxs and my setup will allow mi 2 catch up with the early leaders...),...
into the 5th corner,i was alreadi in 3rd out of 7 cars,...
but out of the 1st lap last corner, accident struck and my dear xxx-s was hit by a nitro car which was completely out of it's path and onto my line!!!as a result,my rear A-arms was RIPPED OFF!!!...

wat an ending 2 my nite of racing...
but was hapi with the ability of the XXXS,...nvr in a moment did i have doubt abt it's ability...

Default Spring rates

Hello all

I have heard of a webpage that lists spring rates for all manufacturers. Does anyone here know what the URL for this webpage is?

Trying to set up my new XXXS but many set-ups are using springs from other manufacturer's. I have an assortment of Losi, Associated and Schumacher springs that I would like to use if I can match up spring rates.

Thank You

I noticed that Losi Shocks is a bit bigger than AE or Yokomo.
I am not sure if other manufacturer's springs work.

Also, I noticed that a number of people are not using Losi
shocks, but HPI, Yokomo, etc. Wonder which combo works.

losi have larger diameter springs, so others wont physically fit. i use hpi threaded aluminium shocks on my losi, work very well, if you ever do this you'll need hpi ball ends on your shock towers and wishbones, ditch the hpi aluminium ones and get Ti ones, so much better.

Any suggestions on foams for unprepared asphalt, ideally softer than pinks, has anyone tried platinums?
Who makes compounds like these trued and glued?
Thanks

OBY, have u seen the XXX-4 pics on horizon hobby, I think they're the best pics of the shock tower at the moment.

Why do you want scans of ads? Do you mean from RCCA and R/C car?

I think Schumacher springs fit on losi shocks, I'm pretty sure I saw a set on a losi last week

T. Hodge how big was the carpet track? I will be running in Stockton along with Stlnlst and the track is probably bigger than alot of carpet tracks. What changes to your current setup would you suggest to smooth the car out on a larger flowing track. Also off hand do you know if losi will have an up grade kit for the xxx-s that will included the new up grades to the car? Thanks

Default Q about negative kickup

What amount of negative kickup do you get when you use the high rollcenter inner block and a 2F or 4F block mounted in the lower holes. I'm not really good with the .03, .05, .07 yada yada yada shims.

Arrow Need those parts!!!

A HUGe thank you to Todd Hodge and this Sunday to Ben Beard and Dana Bailes for helping me with the Losi. It is a100x better tha last week. It started very twitchy and loose and change by change it got closer to Todd's set-up and just got more driveable and driveable. In the end it had a push in the middle of the corner that was manageable, but slow. Luckily I had motor and battery out the wazoo!!!! Pro-Match UMH's and a P2K2 with Putnam propulsion brushes.

I am now even more convinced that I need the new rear arms and stiffer bumpers (for droop). I am pretty sure I am close with shocks, camber links, caster, roll center. Just need to get those arms and get the car to rotate faster around the hairpins and sweepers.
