Have the NEW PRP towers been released yet? If so how do they differ from the previous units? Thanks

Nexus- Talking about the new generation PRP towers. Got mines in the mail yesterday and heard they don't work to well. Wanted to see what others are saying. I won't get to install them with my new Tamyia shocks until this weekend.

He just rambled on and on about stuff. Think he may have been drinking. Not sure. Something about shimming them and the holes don't seem to be designed for the Tamiya's. I don't know yet. Only going off his word. Wanted just to get some ideas from others.

Default PRP towers

I totally forgot about that one guys! The Taimya shocks use 3mm hardware. The holes were drilled to keep 4-40 screws in place with no shift. It is very easy to machine the towers so the holes accept 3mm hardware easier. That would be NO problem at all. Please let me know if you have any other thoughts on the towers- feel free to email me or post in my forum.

Thank you!
Ben

I just reamed them out just a touch. Worked just fine. I wouldn't touch them. The only spot I would look at is the middle hole on the front where the key on the chassis fits into the tower was very tight. I had to do a little fitting to get it on.

I don't run tamiya shocks so i couldn't help with any of those questions...

As for the Team PRP towers...i installed mine yesterday. I have not had a chance to use them on the track but the quality and finish of the towers in awesome. They are 3mm thick and seem very sturdy.

One thing if you plan to use them is since they are thiner then the stock towers you might have to play with shims to have the shocks perfectly vertical and use nuts/locknuts on the end of the ballstuds since won't "thread" into the tower itself.

I will be posting some pics on the Team PRP thread today.

At this point they look great and I'm positive they will perform just as well as the stock graphite towers if not better....I would recommend them once they go in full production
