ok i'm pissed, got the mi3 on the track yesterday,
after the 5 day wait to replace the faulty diff eccentric
i thought it was going to be great. yes, it looks hot.
15mins into driving it, the CVD pins snapped.

schumacher mi3 = POS
if you are thinking of buying one. DON'T.

we have all paid high-end prices for low-end problems.
get your act together schumacher, this car is NOT recommended.
i have been around rc cars since 1989, and this is the most
badly manufactured chassis i have EVER owned.

i just want to have a fricking drive of it.

I've been know to "Test" a products durability from time to time and have had no real trouble with the car. There was an initial problem with the CVDs when the car was released, and Paul and Shawn have been working to make things right. Give them a call at (813) 889-9691 and I'm sure they'll take care of you.
Every new car has teething issues when it is 1st released. Schumacher has done an exceptional job of making sure the car was good to go before its release.

i have had many cars and the mi3 builts quite nice!!!!! Not every kit can be perfect!!! also if the cvd broke more then likely u hit something pretty hard anotherthing just get some stronger cvds and u will be fine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the CVD's are faulty. i hit nothing at all. normal driving killed it.
no point blaming driver fault, the part is faulty. confirmed here too.
this was an australian purchase......
so we are left with the UK div dealing with it.
sloooooooooooooow mooooooooootion british.

it's been a real bad experience in total after paying so much
and getting no driving time in over a month of purchase.

all i can say is, if you're thinking about buying one. don't.
it's too much to pay for no racing time. the chassis i received is a total blem.
i am left with nothing to use, after selling other chassis to buy it.

Anyone got a set up for the MI3 running foams on asphalt? Been loving the car but struggling to get it setup. Rear end very loose and just cant get it stuck down. Any suggestion....

Hate to tell you this Bro, but EVERY new car has issues. Losi, Associated, you name it. The car is a solid value when you consider its adjustablility, out of the box performance, and yes - Durability. This car will make the average driver a better driver.

Now we have the other side like me that ran stock and 19t for weeks and never broke anything or had anything come loose let alone a cvd pin breaking. I never had this problem on any of my Schumacher cars. My EC and MI3 have been about as bullet proof as a car gets.

I seem to remember a few other cars having issues when they came out as well. It happens to about every car out. Never seen a perfect car in 24 years in this hobby. Lots of cars close but none of them are perfect for everyone becasue everyone has an opinion on what is perfect for them.

outside of the cvd's a small issue i must say ..look at it this way how many cars did u buy and a newer version is out 5 to 6 months later..every car I own has done it,xray,tamiya415,TF-5 stallion even my mini cooper m03m to the m03r so, in my book cvd's is a small price for a good car that only need's to change cvd's.....and not the car a few months down the road

Not to an Xray...they make sure to make the strongest most realiable parts, like diffs/outdrives, axles, dogbones, pins, arms, etc...parts that are most often prone to break in hard crashes, Xray makes sure that on their cars these are of the highest strength and quality to minimize damage...its something Schumacher and everyone else can learn from. Why should it take HB CYclone 3 versions of their car to finally get some decent strength CVD's, diffs, diff screws? Schumacher got the HD Spool right the first time fo the Mi3, and its very strong and durable...so why not put the same thought and effort into the axles, bones, pins, and every else that needs reinforcements? The Arms on the MI3 are very strong- just as strong and durable as Xray or Yokomo arms. Put so far, I have found that the inner hinge pins are weak, and the bone pins snap pretty easily or keep getting loose, and we the users have to get stuck inprovising on ways to make the parts work, like dremmeling the pins so that the set screws "sit" when tightened and the pins stay in place...Why should we be left modifying parts or make adjustments to them for them to work? These things should be taken care of ASAP by Schumacher, not us....its frustrating- but worse...the cost of having to replace the weak cvd's or bones/pins...ouch!! Same thing goes for other cars, and it really sucks when you have to be shaving off caster blocks, cutting axles, top decks, motor mounts, bulkheads, shocks, etc to get the car to work right...if the cars are made right, none of these head aches would emmerge...Now Schumacher's MI3 is a great car w/ a great design. It just seems that there are little pesky issues in the details of some parts. And that's what we hope to see fixed immediately...its just that for me personally, after driving Xray's for some time, these issues are new to me and messing with parts to ge them to work right was not something I had to do with my old Xray T2's...
