I just purchased a F104 pro and while i wait for it to arrive it thought i'd ask what tyres work well on low grip carpet? im only interested in foams as i cant use traction compound and its hard enough to race vintage with the rubbers on this carpet.

Also any setup tips?

Thanks

I believe he has used a smaller lipo to cleverly locate the esc at the rear. Might be wrong, but the lipo looks smaller.

Seriously.. The f1 kits are mainly very tires dependent.

Generally a harder front and softer rear should set you in right direction. With foams, it is good to true the tires down to about 58-60 mm and run a 1-2mm split, depending on your roll out.

Soft / high traction t-bars helps.

Other than that minor tweaks to suit your driving will do.

Just try out the stock ones unless F104 tire availability is low at your area or you're really on a hurry for something.

The kit tires from the pro hooked up well on the club carpet track I run.

I have the pro version so thats good to know that i have a decent set to start with and there is no availability of F1 tyres where i live so if i want something different to try it'll be coming from HK.

Thanks

Like Aussierevo said I am running a micro lipo and the guys at my track that have run it need to add a lot of weight to the rear. I decided to put the esc in the back for cleanliness but keep the lipo, and esc in the center line of the car

Yeah. I have a ton of extra room now and being my receiver is 5 grams on one side, and the transponder will be 7 on the other I go in almost perfectly balanced

I'm running the team scream micro 1800mah and I get on or about 12 minutes of runtime out of it.

I'm using the Novak Ballistic 21.5 and the Keyence Tachyon ESC
Spectrum Mirco receiver and I'm going to run one of the new mylaps transponder once my money shifts down from paypal

I run the mylaps PT and it weighs nothing practically and is so tiny! Great purchase.

I still didn't try my micro pack yet. I should my car weighs 1042! and works really well. I'm afraid to have to chase another set up for the small pack.
