Hi All, I am thinking of running a 2.1 prostock or EX2.1, flushing the stock software to mod software, and running a 6.5 motor / 7.5 motor in a 1/10 4wd buggy.
Looking at the Tresrey spec ESC, it looks identical to the prostock, but is red and promoted as a modified ESC... which makes me think this is possible?? or is it because Tresrey have "spec" their ESC by changing internals to have more fets and cope with modified motors?
I know for mod i should be looking at the 2.0 esc's but the prostock is much smaller in size and can fit better with more real estate in my 4wd.
Can some one please confirm if this is safe / possible from experience, or proven track knowledge?
if its not possible, I guess I will stick to the 2.0... or wait for an updated esc from SP
thanks

Got an issue with my club racer 21.5 SP motor/ESC. I slid into the barrier sideways on the ESC side (its in an F103W) didn't hit the electronics though and since then the red light (low battery voltage) light blinks. Also, the motor wouldn't run unless you spun it by hand. I picked up another 21.5 motor, recharged the Lipo and I still get the red blinking light. I reset the ESC per the instructions and still it blinks. Swapped out the sensor wire too. Batteries are charged and work fine in other cars. Ideas?
Thanks
PS. Just got a new Cirtirx ESC in. Hooked it up and I still have the flashing red light. Now I'm really confused...

It is the motor sensor port that has the problem if your car won't start without a push...if it is a V2, open it up and check/dust off any dust on the sensor and try again.

GT2 PRO is by its own design and case. IF you take off the fan from the GT2 PRO...it is not really that much different in size. Try to measure them side by side...
For my recommendation..if you are running MOD, I always tell customer to go PRO...just there are ROOMS for them to expend to motor speed like 3.5T without any problem. But just like GT2.1 PS, LPF...it can handle motor up to 5.5t....
But running BOOST with mod, that is different story, I would recommend GT2 PRO hands down....
