From my curiosity, i need somebody to explain me about the matter to choosing the right body.
If the RC F1 is just like real F1 which really need a lot of aerodynamic like the 2008 style bodies have(ZEN ZF02, TRG F08s, etc) or simple the best like years '90s styles(Tamiya F103 bodies, Blade W18/96, TRF SW, etc), which 1s?
Or they just have each different advantages in different tracks?
Best regards

Paul Lemiuex told me they used to like the more slammed bodies like the Sauber. The newer ones like the M (McLAren) have kinda tall side pods.
All the new 3rd party bodies are just for looks since the real cars are using ground effects, diffusers etc., to make the rest of the bodywork effective.

Alot of the guys here in the states like the handling traits of the Tamiya Sauber and Lotus bodies. I have run both and like both. I think the Lotus has more steering based on the amount of surface area vs the Sauber. Havent run any of the newer stuff to be able to give guidance

And 3rd party bodies, the latest style ones?
Are you meaning the olds are better, the news are just for good looking, isn't it?

Yes, right.
We are thinking exactly the same.
About another question.
This means if i want to prepare a car just to run fulltime in small Carpet indoor track, what i need is just a low profile body, isn't it?
How about the optional rear, front wings and diffuser of: TRG, Tech racing, ZEN, ABC.
Are they really worthy at stability and handling of car?

Well I got the F104 chassis assembled last night. The whole thing took about three hours. I had zero trouble, had zero parts missing, and had 100% pure fun. This kit goes together just as easy as the F103. I replaced all the kit screws with titanium on the bottom and aluminum on the top. I also replaced all the ball nuts with aluminum ones and utilized a two extra F103 body posts I had laying around as well. I’m waiting for the rest of the hop-ups to come in, then I’ll tear the car down and add all of those. I posted pics below of the build so far.
I’m hoping to get the electronics in this week. I’m thinking an LRP QC II for the esc and a Futaba micro servo upfront for steering. The wiring presents a little problem; I’d really like to keep it nice and neat. I’m no fan of the rats nest. Stay tuned for more on this.
Enjoy the pics!

Thank you sir. DONE!!!
Thanks, it's been a while since I've done any real wrenching. I've got a paint job in mind and I think it will work well on the new body. By the way that new body is AWESOME! The detail really looks fantastic. Tamiya really did a great job with it. None of the pics from Tamiya have done it justice. I can't wait to start working on it. I'll post up pics as soon as it's done.
