The longer you pull plastic in a vaccuum mold the thinner it gets...the nose is pretty darn long but it be difficult to do it any other way than he did it and have it come out as good.

So, are there any other places available to get current season F1 decals that are actually producing the decals at this time? ( edited )

Anybody know if this paint is still available and where one may get it.

In Aus, I can only seem to find the tamiya spray cans with a PS # number.

Any advice and how good do those VF1 cars look. Excellent job.
According to the Tamiya US web page it's still in stock and available. Check to see if you shop can order it for you.

I have a few questions, I have not raced on-road in 20+ years. I just ordered a Tamiya F104 v2 and need a few more things. Can anyone provide some recommendations?

1. Motor - (want to run 21.5t, keep the car UF1 spec'd)
2. ESC - (was thinking a Tekin RS, mostly 'cause I already have one. Better recommendation for 21.5t stock?)
3. Pinion and spur gear sizes - (I have no idea where to start)
4. Steering servo - (I have an extra AE DS1313, I suspect that is fine?)
5. Batteries - (I have a few shorty 2S Lipo packs, was going to use those)

Thanks!

I am running a trinity D3.5 21.5. A Tekin rs would be fine since its small. I use an Orion R10pro and it fits and works great. I run an 86t 64p spur and change pinion according to track needs. I would suggest a savox 1251 for a servo since its low profile or any low profile servo would do. I would think the 1313 is a little big. Any shortie would work.

You're gonna be good to go.

Motor: Schuur Speed or Reedy Sonic II seem to be poppin up in the winner circles here but not exclusively.

Gears: 93 Tamiya or 94-96 Kimbrough type 64 pitch for spur (need adapter for these) and 32-36 pinions will get you close, it's what I use anyway.

The rest you've got.
Have fun
