Any idea how the Kawada compares to the other 23T? Especially the Vxr?

I myself prefer the Torque based 23t motors... I don't care for the VXR... just doesn't have enought get up and go for me out of the corners.. no matter how much I tweek it...

Hv not tried that yet. ....anyway with the LR gearing is around 7ish and I would safely start off with around 7.4-7.5

Default 23 T

Tamiya's RZ 23 turn works great but you need to tweek the motor to get maximum power. I've seen a tweeked 23 turn blow past a 19 turn like it was standing still!
Downside the motor gets real hot if you gear it too low!

Hi Guys,
Anyone running HPI R2 motors?
Any commend?
Which is better? Standup or laydown brushes?
Does it really affect the performance?

Just got a new motor, Orion SV2 23x2T 25000rpm. Was this high rpm or high torque? start with 5.5 or something else?

Default Tamiya RZ rpms

hey guys

i tryed a new spring and brush combo on my Tamiya RZ last night.. and the results surprised me a litte

std springs, std brushes (seratted though) pulled 29000 revs
std springs, fantom 315 brushes brand new pulled 25-26000 rpm
trinity purple pos, trinity red neg, fantom 315's pulled 25000rpm

are these numbers good for a 23T stock motor or is this motor past its prime??? i have no idea what to expect having only raced 540 before.

thanks

I have been using the HPI R2 TL in my Pro4 geared at 5.55 and the motor run very well. Not too sure the difference in perform between the standup and laydown
