I just finished building a Mini M03.
Upon hard acceleration, the steering servo has one hard twitch which initially throws off the steering.

any thoughts? or it that what's expected?
I'm using an old futaba 3003.

Will a new servo help remedy this problem?
is digital servos any better?

hold the car so that front wheels are of the ground and pull the trigger and see if it twitches without a load on the front end, if it does then check the mounting for your a servo and make sure it is all thight, or you might try another servo. if it does not do it when you try it then i would look for a bind in the drivetrain. Good luck

Wewt! Got my M05 Pro. These shocks are the same as on the M03R right? So I'm guessing I shouldn't run them since they crack like glass.

do you have have this problem using TRF shocks when mounting on M05?

there is about 2mm play between the shocks and the screw at the shock mount. . This problem is the same at the front and rear.

how do you guys eliminate this problem besides using the ball connector?

I have the TRF shocks on my TA03R and you have to use the ball connectors for that plastic shock cap end. I think they're either 4mm or 5mm sized.

Default M-03 Hobbywing motor/ESC

Need some help mates- Been reading up on M-03 build ups and my Mini is currently powered w/MM 7700 2s4000 which I cloned from Suzuki Swift in RCCar Action and stuck it in a Mini: I am located in the Central Calif USA --which hobbywing motor/ESC combo are y'all using to race with in the land down under? Also what type of gearing would be suggested for sort of a gritty track--stock setup?
Thanks!

In Australia we are using Hobbywing Brushless ESC and 3000 kV Motor(13T).

The rule is that you have to use a Hobbywing OEM or rebranded COMPLETE
SYSTEM with max 25 or 35 amp ESC and the motor has to be engraved/etched.

doriftu,

I am using ball end connectors with a o ring fitted, to help prevent the shock cap from being pushed over the ball completely. I used a 5mm ball connector witha 8mm length shaft for the top shock mounts so you can still fit the 3mm spacer.

Regards,

Calvin.
