see you laugh - but my 4 year old would love that...I've already gone racing with some hello kitty stickers on my cars - and not the hip japanese-anime ones, the little girly purple/pink stickers

Hey fellow racers. Wanted to update our latest race. We had a 4 hour VTA enduro. 8 Teams raced we had 5 leader changes and a ton of fun. VTA is a great class to run an enduro with. The other cool think was by the end of the race the tires were smoked!

Planning another in April. Has anyone else tried these with VTA. Do any of you have any suggestions for what you did or would do for your race? I was pleased how everything went, but always want to improve.

We just finished up a 8 hour enduro with 3 separate classes (open, VTA, mini). There were 3 open cars, 4 TA, and 2 mini. After 7 hours and 56 min the top two TA cars were still within 1/2 sec of each other until our teams battery ran out of juice forcing a pit. We ended up 4 laps down and the next TA car was only 20 off the pace after 8 hours! It was pretty awesome!

We hold several enduros a year with this one in January being the longest. Sometimes they are just TA and sometimes mixed classes.

http://www.hobbyplexraceway.com/onroad.html... just look under the enduro folder for the 8 hour.

Here's some of the general rules

General rules
-Teams can be either three or four drivers, one driving, one marshaling and one or two in the pits
-All teams must have a marshal on the track at all times
-No more than two team members in the pit lane during pit stops
-All driver changes must be made while the car is in pit lane
-No extra cutouts in the body to aid in pit stops
-No part of the chassis may extend outside the body, including the bumper
-No powered tools may be used in the pit lane
-All team members must run at least one hour on the track (shorter stints for shorter enduros)

Also 25,000 mah battery limit per team. For shorter enduros it is usually 20,000. Also on shorter enduros we require at least one tire change. You can use the same tires but they must at least be swapped right to left.

We ran similar setup for the race event. The one thing no one mentioned was how they specifically tech the motors. One of my track helpers came up with the idea to use a data logger to set everyone's RPM. We did this and it made it great. We had all the cars and motors within 100 rpm.

Have any of you used this approach. Or do you not find it necessary? Thanks

The other thing we did not allow is back up cars. It was one car, one team. I think everyone ended up in the pits for a few minutes

We have had them on Saturdays....we are just trying to change it up some...and with 3-4 months of prep...we are hoping that will give ppl time to make plans....

I would love to see some national support as well as regional racers....

I thanks the Carbondale,Memphis and Arkansas crews for coming to these M.S.R. 's.. they are alot of fun and really let you get some 'REAL" track time.

with the sponsor support, I banking on racers from surounding states...

LOL.....there is enough traction at The Track to make your head spin. Its open traction compound....most people use Paragon. I think SXT is showing up more now as well.
