BMI's DB12R
#6572
Here's the setup from Sunday:
DB12R (not rr)
Novak 13.5 71mm rollout
Track was open 90x48 med/high bite carpet
Front:
Spring- AE .020
2000 on kingpins
10* block shims back
3.75mm ride height
black jaco tires 1.69" 1/2 compound Paragon
flat servo
0* toe
Rear:
standard flex plates (DB12R)
7000 tubes
Center shock- red spring, 40wt
jaco gray 1.75 full paragon
4mm ride height
2.5mm pod droop
batteries middle
Parma Speed 8 lightweight body
I was thinking the pod droop might be the problem but it was also lifting the front tire off power. My first thought was to go up in the damper tubes but anytime I've tried 10,000 it was slower than with 7000. Another racer dropped to 5000 and was very pleased.

Jeff, Kevin, and myself (Troy) were all running BMI in Super Stock.

Try 5* Blocks and a little thicker front lube.

good question bud im thinking that it will be the same time as always around 5 or 6 but since there are some people coming in from out of state to get a run on the snowbirds layout i think mike will try to get it started a little earlier but im not sure

I just finished upgrading my db12 r to the rr. The body is pretty beat, but i havent tried the car yet. The holidays have really slowed me down but after now im ready to go full bore

Looks to me like the IRS castor blocks and upper arms with the castor blocks anodized blue. Very nice looking
Sorry i havent been on here as much guys. My home computer took a dump and i havent had a chance to get to the store yet with the holidays here. After tonight i should have the time. I will be back more often again shortly.
Everyone have a safe and happy new year and be sure to drink way too much. See you guys next year.

Yep that is the irs front end. thing works great for me. And it looks cool too
#6581
Very cool indeed, thay looked like the ones I've had on my 1/10 oval pan cars from IRS, just did'nt know thay made them for 1/12
#6582
yea they make it for 1/12 as well. Alot of guys think that this front end will only work for oval but i have found for me that it works great on road coarse. give it a try

A bit too pricey for my budget, I'll have to go with a bit less bling
