Thanks for the props on the name. It is actually named after my favorite motorycle i have ever had. A Bimota db9. The Aston Martin db12 is also worth naming after.
Brownies is the best little place in New York, really great guys. 360 has a bunch of the BMI kits in stock, as well as parts for it

he influenced me to get the BMI as well, and hes been helping a lot, but i give him decent business, and would rather order from him, than over the computer.

I raced with John Brown and his crew about 12 years ago when I was back east. Super nice guy and a pretty good wheel

Is there any way to get LiPo in a 12th scale? I like to get back into 12th with a DB12. I am just having trouble choking down buying and managing MiMh batteries.

You can get LiPo in, it's just a matter of finding the right size for the chassis you want. However, you'll only get 3.7v (against 4.8v from NiMh) so you'll need a receiver pack and regulator, and your car will be a lot slower than anyone else.

Added to that, your car won't handle. 12th cars are designed to take advantage of the weight of the cells in the back, and removing the weight spoils the handling. 12th is going to stay NiMh for many, many years to come, as so many big manufacturers are getting into new cars (Associated, Serpent, HB) and won't be developing more cars for a while.

If you're worried about NiMh cells, get the new Orion SHO spec cells, they seem to be a lot more durable and forgiving than the IB cell in its many guises. There's a 'Euro' version that gives impressive voltage (just what you need for 12th) and is based on a 3700 construction - plenty of run-time and voltage, tough cell - that'll allay your fears. HTH

Wanted to give my biggest compliments to Jason and his team on the durability of the car. Today at the training I crashed straight into the volleyball net housings, my front wheel got stucked under a metal brace, took me good 5 minutes to get the car out. The lightweight body was destroyed and even the velding on the metal piece I crashed in came loose. All my electronics had poped off the chasis and even motor had moved few mm forward and I'm confident it was tightened alright. The only broken part - the fiberglass battery brace! Man, but that was some crash, I was even a bit twitchy to come back to track after that but the car was just as smooth as before!
