first time I mounted the car I've putted one of the rear drive shaft in the front (i had the 1-way) the bone was at 3mm from the edge of the outdrive and I ran the car like that during 30 packs before I noticed my mistake ...
so i don't see why the MIP's rear wouldn't fit (are they shorter ?)
I broke 3 dogbones (2 from Tobee) in front and I am thinking replacing them with the MIP . (someone told me the reason they break so easily is the one way...perhaps it is why i've never stripped the gear during a crash, the bones took the shock) . fortunately, the ball diff is coming before this weekend .

MIP's and Yokomo bones are 2 different designs.
Yokomo uses same front and rear bones...theoretically...the rear MIP's should fit the fronts....but is does not.

I too have the Tobee bones installed now both front and rear...
we'll see how durable they really are or not...

I just started racing again at SoCal yesterday. I should be there on tuesdays, dont know about next week though, because I doubt I'll have the 1 way drive cups by then.

This is my OLD TC3 buds bumper modified to fit my brokomo... As you can see some parts are on order.

Did you break the steering hub/knuckle before or after you installed the modified bumper?

I've gotta make a bumper like that, it's needed. I am going to pick up a Barracuda, want to see if all the hype is true, or if it's just hype. If I like the Cuda, the SD will propably be sold, or visa versa.

The car is 4 packs old. IT broke on the 4th pack and no there was no Buds bumper on for those 4 runs. (light scuffing of the boards must have added up because it was a light tap that ended my practice session)

Its installed now as you can see. I will race it for the first time tomorrow night and will report back on how it holds up to other cars and how the new bumper protects the car.

With the chassis being narrower, I was thinking of adding some "nerf wings" to protect the rear arms from those T-bone collisions. BRP has them for the TC3 and HPI included them with the Pro2.

Hey, is there a saying like "Real racers don't use big bumpers or f'n 'NERF' wings!"?

The rear end of the car seems to be durable, it's the front that you really need to focus the attention on.

The nerf wings sound like a great idea. Do any of you guys use chassis protector sheets? I know Associated makes one, is there a better one?

Mo put one on his car. There is no better chassis protector film than the AE stuff, it's really tuff. It was made for offroad use so I think it can handle touring car scrapes pretty easily

I put the AE one on mine. It costs about $8. It works really well. Just a little time consuming putting it on. The following thread talks about cheaper alternatives for skateboard or snowboards. I wish I knew about the hole punch trick before I did mine. It would have saved me hours.....

For the nerf wings, I was thinking of using some high strength triangular plastic pieces. Drill some holes and mounting them in front of the rear wheels.
