I just want to say that I love this car. Came from my first race competing with the JRX-s and I had a blast. It was so different than my other car. I totally had to change the way I drove. I did horrible, but that it because of the ass behind the controller. The car was right on. I can not wait for my setup tools to come in so that I can set it up right and re-learn how to drive a real car.

Not to be a d!ck but did I miss something? Did the car suddenly stop working well on the track because Losi discontinued it 
?
I will continue to drive and love my Type R until either:
a) It becomes the limiting factor to my success on the track (won't happen for a LONG time the way I drive
)
b) I no longer can get parts to keep it running (remains to be seen)
c) I am overcome by a case of "shiny new thing" syndrome

How much more SWEET is the victory using a "discontinued" car against the latest & greatest? The last four races I've had with my "discontinued" Type R has been SWEEEEEET!
This will be the last touring car I'll ever own. Unless someone decides to create another car with this layout.

Had my first club race tonight with the JRX-S R and am FREAKIN' LOVIN' this car
The track is a dusty rubberized gym floor so traction is very low. Even with slicks I was managing very well and taking cars on the inside all over the place Their was only a few people with legal tires that were faster and a bunch running illegal rally tires with lots of traction but they couldn't drive so I was still passing them. For a noob to on-road I am very very pleased with this car and when I get this tire conundrum figured out, watch out
I need some tips to keep my rear from stepping out on the back straight, there are a couple little dips in the middle of the straight and when the car unweights it wants to pivot.
Best $200 I have ever spent without question

Yes my wiring and electronics layout sucks but I haven't decided where I want everything yet so I did a lazy install.

Here's mine got it from a friend who club raced frequently! just got a broken top deck after 4 years of tough racing indoors.

I came across a post concerning this and am pretty sure it was on this thread but I have no idea what page. I search in google to find info on RCTECH, I seem to get better results than using the forum search. That diff tube is like a vacuum isn't it.
+1 on durability. There was lots of contact at the track last night, got T-Boned pretty bad a few times but the JRXS shrugged it off no problem. Solid as mate

As for durability I thought i bent my axles after a friend came right into my path. As I drove back the car i noticed my front wheels were wobbling, and it turned out they were warped

It's nifty upper arm swivel that connects the camber link further away from the caster block which apparently gives better stability on high-bite surfaces i.e. carpet. It can be used in a high or low position to give more or less camber gain. Looks like everyone running rubber on asphalt use a traditional ball link on the caster block with rear turnbuckles. The only thing I dislike about the JR link is that there isn't a normal turnbuckle to quickly and accurately change camber settings.
