No I love the xray not selling mine. Just wanted to try out ball diffs/shorty in a wheeler. If the kyosho does not work for me I will sell it off. I mainly got it for the winter indoor tracks my main race car will still be the xray.

Some negatives -
The xray chews up diff gears regularly if the slipper is not set loose (check the threads on rctech hehe every few weeks the topic comes up). Shocks are not as good as a K car and parts are $$$$ compared to competition (for no apparent reason other than coming from Hudys plant in slovakia where labor is expensive - go figure I would think japan has higher labor rates than eastern europe ).

But otherwise pretty happy with the car. Plastics are tough (metals not so much - broken 3 axles, 1 outdrive in the past two years), drivetrain can be freshened fast with 3mm pin replacements, car is tunable and responds well to changes and lot of aftermarket parts support, not much slop at all even with 2 year plus parts (rear arms and shock ends).

My first 1/10 4WD EP Buggy.....

The ZX6 was awesome out of the box setup, just some minor setup tweaked. Had a great full day or running.

I’m looking at swapping to stock (17.5T) and just wondering if anyone has some advice on pinion/spur to run etc as I have never been in the stock class.
I think I’ll still run my Tekin RSX in it with Gen2 17.5T

Adjusting these ball diffs is a pain in the a$$. I want to change the battery hold down to thumb screws for the shorty. Are there any options?

Good start off on front page.

Things you can add is link to hear diffs and optional parts that'll work well from the zx5, like alum battery posts.

Finally got her built, can't wait to put some laps in. Hope it's as durable as D413 that I had briefly.

Been working on my ZX6 today ... it's not an easy build as it's not step by step bags but the plastics are awesome!!

From my VBCs ... if VBCs are similar to XRay quality, this is another league.

Any options parts I should get btw?? It's box stock at the moment, bar Ti screws.

not much really. alloy rear hubs, rb6 rear arms, gear diffs (depending on the track). i've got some alloy wing mounts as i've broken a few.
