Nice find! Titanium gears and torque rating of the 7955!

Hey

I just got a new Turnigy 6S 5000mah 30C battery pack from HK. This thing is HUUUGE!!! So I put it in the car and noticed that the body is touching the battery... Even getting pushed up a few millimeters. That beeing placed with the wires on the side.

Im worried that as soon as the car rolls and hits a small bump or something, the battery is going to take the hit and burst into flames... = bye bye 600 $ car + 100$ receiver.

What to do?

I would try and find a smaller battery in that case or see if you can run 2 3s packs in one tray that are smaller .

Is the battery a hard or soft case? Can you put few washers under the body to raise it. What about the body mounts can they be moved? If you can get the body a little higher you can alway put a thin piece rubber foam or something on top of the battery.

Just trying to think of things you can do.

So the problem here is that the battery is too tall and is pushing the body up?
Can you fit the battery in on its side?
Did you remove the two padded tabs at the bottom of the battery tray? That should give more clearance.

It's a soft case. Appreciate your thoughts.

It's already on its side. If I place it the other way around the wires will instead push the body up.

I also thought of removing the padded tabs, but i'm worried that when the chassi hits the ground the force will be too much for the lipo to handle. The pads are there for protection and not just "spacers", right?

You can always ebay the battery and buy the 4s 14.8.That is one of the things I noticed from pics is the battery is very high .I didnt even think of it hitting the body I just figured ballance was the worst issue.

What happened was is you went to high in mah. If you didnt solder it send it back for a 3600 or something. You get more runtime out of hgher cell counts but you have to get the appropriate KV motor for this. But 6s will still give you a tad more runtime than 4s packs with the same mah eve with the ame motor as long as you gear it properly. With the CC/2200 really with the fact that you can gear it to the moon on 4s without it getting too hot there really is no need for more than 5S usage. If you use the speed-gearing chart with 4s 5s and 6s and go a few teeth smaller each cell you go up you will see the top speed will stay the same. I hope that made sense and sorry if not.

Assuming I use the same spur gear with a 4s 14.8volt 5000mah battery What could be my best pinion size or should I just keep it stock?I would experiment but at 15 dollars a pinion I dont want to waste my money.thanks

Btw still need answers on the shock covers from earlier. Thanks again.

Has anybody figured out if the ratio on the Vorza is 43/13 or 43/10 yet? I read early in this thread someone said 43/10 but has anyone confirmed that?

I'm using the tunigy 5000mah 6s. No fitment issues. I got the 25C version though... the 30c might be a bit bigger.
