I had the same problem, I just cut off one end of the tray, the lipo is still held in place with the Velcro strap that runs the length of the lipo won't slide, you have about 1cm until you hit the diff support which was more than enough for my nano-tech 6000mah

I'm still waiting on HPI since my tracking says it was delivered on May 21 2012. I don't see why running 6S as everyday running battery in the Vorza with the Mamba Monster (which it is supposed to handle 6S easily) would break in a $650 vehicle, and not even bashing hardcore... This was a 5 minute "warm up" bash and oom lock up! lol! I'm running fine right now with my 2nd motor but I want my original replaced....

did you ever hear back on your motor? sorry if its later in the pages. im catching up now. finally dusted off the vorza and ran it long enough to bend a front hinge pin. doh...

and as far as running with 6S everyday, thats all i use and run the car hard. if it cant be done, it shouldnt be all over the box. I watch the temps but there always ok. having burnt 2 motors so far i keep an eye on it, warranty or not its a pain to deal with and id rather avoid it.

Back to the hinge pin issue...will the M2Cs with the nuts help my issues in the front? they seems to pop out or come loose due to other issues often...

Thanks Mammoth,

I called HPI with my reference number and they said the diagnosis is complete and waiting for the motors to be back in stock... They will ship one out to me in about 1 week from yesterday... Luckily I had purchased a 2nd motor on ebay for $100 cause after the crash, I fixed it and it's running well! I'm going to open up the center diff again to add more 100K oil I think and a looser gear mesh is recommended. I used the RPM gauge and everything is tracking straight... I'm going to do the same to my Mini E-Revo tonight... I want to run that too. So far the Vorza running well!

My goodness, I just ordered a Tekno v4 conversion, Exabyte body to paint fluorescent blue, a 25t pinion, and a flux 2650. Gonna be nuts!

What's the largest pinion that the Tekno mount will allow for with a 44t spur?

^^Don't be afraid to run larger pinions. With the 44t Kyosho spur and 19t pinion, I'm running lower temps than stock. It's much faster, too. With a 44t spur and the stock motor mount, I believe the biggest pinion you could use is a 22t and still get proper gear mesh.

Is it true that I need a D8 center diff plate for a vorza tekno v4 conversion?

Cool, i will look into that..

So after a run with the new pinion today i have put the final nail in the coffin on my stock wheels and tyres. This has probably been asked a dozen times and more but links die due to the age of the questions on here.

What tyres are you all running and on what surface? Iv got my eye on the Hara jumbo wheels (are they really that much bigger?) but have no idea for the best price. Im looking for general bashing tarmac/grass/gravel any recommendations?

Finally got the Vorza on the track today for the first time! Ambient temp was maybe 85 and I saw the ESC hit 135 and the motor about 125. It ran well, I had a ton of fun, and actually had a few people come up to me saying they were lusting over the Vorza and were thinking of getting one.

I need to learn about suspension tuning. There was way too much on power understeer. I removed the front anti-roll bar and brought the front linkages up to parallel with the a-arm, per some preliminary reading I did but I need to learn more No money or desire for a v4 conversion - gotta live with what I have! This thing is a blast!
