Any hobby shop should be able to make you one up no problem, normally get stuff from Modelsport but a lot of HPI stuff seems to be out of stock a lot, if so ebay usually comes to the rescue

Can anyone who owns a Turnigy 5S 40C lipo post the official weight of that battery if they have a scale? I want to compare it to my 6S 40C and my 2x2S 40C lipos...

Finished 4th @ CRC Raceway in Rome, NY with the Vorza (Practically a D8 hopped up with Mods now).

So far this season --- 1st in A-main @ TBG locally & 4th in A-main @ CRC (which, was my first time running).

And guess what?

Not one breakage in 1.5 hours of practice, 2 qualifiers and the main.

Oh, and did I mention it was light rain all day?

This has by FAR been the best buggy I have owned to date.
By far.

Question: What are the opinions out there on the Trophy Truggy Flux? I haven't been hearing good stuff about it locally as the support apparently sucks, and the truck breaks a lot. Does anyone have any direct experience with it?

Sounds like the servo is drawing more current than the esc can supply, you'll need a external BEC like these http://www.castlecreations.com/products/ccbec.html

Yup A glitch buster capacitor should do the trick. I also had that problem with another truck and it worked for me.

Hi, what's your opinions on the best battery to put in my vorza for bashing? Im confused as to the best c rating etc, turnigy would be ideal as I can get them from hobby kings European warehouse, has anyone used their "nano tech" battery's? I'm running a 21 pinion with a 46 spur thanks for any help

There won't be a "best" battery, but there is an assortment of good batteries to use. For 4s, I use a TrakPower 4s 5600mah hardcase (that's also ROAR approved). This battery is kind of pricy at $160, but it came with my used Vorza. For 5s, I've ordered a Gensace softcase for $130 that I will have to solder deans connectors to. I'm not interested in running 6s, as the car already has a plethora of torque on 4s and 5s, so I just upped the gearing to 22/44. 4s is honestly enough for off-road bashing, so I plan to use the 5s for on-roading with my belted street radials.

In general, you should pick either 4s, 5s, or 6s, a mah rating not less than about 5000mah, and a "C" rating of no less than 30C. Also, using 2x3s or a 2s and 3s in series for a total of 5s or 6s will likely not fit without cutting the battery tray. A single 5s or 6s will fit (as long as you check the dimensions).

I have the GensAce 5s 30c 5300mah soft pack ($85) and 2xGensAce 2s 40c 5000mah hard case ($66 for both). The 5s gives me about 40 minutes bashing and the 2x2s about 30min. I had to solder Deans connectors on them. Im very happy with them.

My batteries have been getting pretty warm lately. Nearing the end of a pack they're at nearly 120 degrees farenheit. I'm running "nice" batteries, too... a 4s TrakPower 5600mah 50c and a 5s Gensace 5300mah 60-120C. I'm not getting puffing though, so I'm thinking that over the course of a pack (30 minutes) that the heat from the esc is saturating the battery leads, which then brings the heat to the battery. I'm also running 22/44 with a freshly tuned car, correct gear mesh, and the stock 2200kv. The hottest my motor and esc read is 150F.
