OK guys, this Sunday, the forcast is 79 degrees and partly cloudy with a 5% chance of rain. NEXT Sunday the forcas is for 47 degrees and 75% chance of rain! I think I will shoot for THIS Sunday.

Weather was fantastic at the track yesterday! Didn't get to race though. Not enough guys present. Did get enough track time to make the drive worthwhile (Not sure that Adam felt that way--he came up from Lafayette).
We had 3 1/8's and 1 or 2 1/10. Dirt side was low on racers too.
Next week not looking good. They'll probably be sucking fumes indoors.

Forecast looks better! Now they're talking 57 and sun! That's a lot better than it was a few days ago.

I had a good time sunday, despite not being able to race. I figure I am done burning nitro for the year though, that kinda sucks no one showed up.

Default Saturday 10/7/06

M son and I raced 1/10 touring cars. The weather was great. I din't take an official count of the outdoor racers, but I recall a couple of 1/8 cars and maybe 6 touring cars. There seemed to be at least twice as many off road racers.
The on-road track was quite dusty which presented a challenge for the high grip set-up that I had.
It seems like the end of the back-straight has more grip than earlier in the season.

I will see I can pull a permit on SUNDAY for 1/8th....probably no time to finish up the mod TC.

P.S...Duneland, I might need to borrow 1/2 a bottle (fuel bottle, not 1/2 gallon) of fuel...I have like 1 bottle of fuel left and don't feel like buy a gallon for winter...

Chris, I am usually there about 8:30. And, don't worry about getting out of the way, just drive a precictable line. If someone is faster, he'll find a way around. Trying to hard, to get out of the way, can put you into the boards (then we have all those bits and pieces littering the track )!
Walt, listen to the sneaky asian, he could be on to something!
