Hi Rob,

I just ordered a F104V2 and was wondering which spur gears will fit? It seems that the choices for 04 mod pinions in pretty slim and I have a bunch of 64P gears now. Would I be able to fit a PRC, Kimbrough or even an AE spur on the F104?

Dave K.

I wish I was closer to The Track to play on Tuesday night but a 400 mile round trip is out of the question. Do you think F1 would be on Sat or Sun too? I'm in Chicago most weekends.

You will need the spur gear adapter: Tamiya 54215

It takes the place of one of the bearings in the diff so you'll be able to use normal 64p spurs.

Are you guys racing these any other time than on Tuesday night? I've got a few larger off road races to attend in the next few weeks but after that the schedule is clear. Might have to come an get schooled!

Howard, Do you know when these are getting re-stocked?

I got the e-mail today and they were all gone already. The Holiday price is a nice one. And the shell looks awesome.

I don't think the F1 bodies are even available yet. The restock thing might just be a placeholder.

As far as racing, Sundays are fine if people show up. I was coming on Tuesdays because other guys said they would show, but there has not been a ton of cars anyway. We were running with the 21.5 Gt cars.

I don't think I can make this Tuesday anyway.

I just assembled a 12th scale (S120LT) and an F1 (HPI FX10 in the mail) I should be able to participate Tuesdays and Sundays periodically. I am in Kenosha.

You need a blinky speed control, a 21.5 and a 2s lipo. The Speed Passion escs are very reasonable, like a Club spec Reventon. As far as lipo, most run "shorty" lipos, but anything that has around 3200-3800 mah is a good minimum. The HPI F10 may not accept all lipo packs, if that is your car, so you may need to check the fit before you buy.
f1 sorry but been slow getting things together for car, just need motor and speed controler. Had it on pay pal but my account got screwed up so lost out but still working at it
