For those planning on coming out this sunday we want to be racing by 3pm so plan to get there a little sooner than normal! This also might be my last trip out with the grill for the year, think Jay is bringin' some stuff too.

First off Sorry for short notice
This sunday September 19th the first ever outdoor Short course challenge will be held at "the farm" in Wausau Wisconsin. Taking a step away form the formal oval and offroad racing this day will include races that not only challenge your driving skill but strategy as well.
Since this is just a fun day of racing No short course truck will be turned down and rules arent a big worry just having fun. classes will be made by attendance(the 3 classes that will try to be made are Stock,Mod and 4x4)
Racing will begin at 1:00
As of now here is the list of races to be included. All of these events are run on the oval.
Tire race- Each person pulls a tire ( suplly your own tire preferably a sct tire) that is tied to the rear bumper with a 2 foot long piece of marking tape. The obzect is to get the tire off the opponents trucks while still keeping yours attached.
Chain race- 2 trucks are connected back to front bumper with a rubber band and the object is to be the first team to finish a 10 to 20 lap race.
forward/backward race- In this race drivers must first go 2 laps around the track forward then 2 laps in reverse backwards arounf the track. Top finishers will advance to a feature race.
Flagpole race- there will be a flag pole place in the middle of the track and every lap each driver must make a complete turn around the flag pole and continue the lap for 10 to 20 laps.
Figure 8 race-drivers must complete a 10 to 20 lap race on the converted figure 8 track.
Trailer race- This will be one of the wildest races ever because everyone is pulling a handmade cardboard or balsa wood trailer and the object is to knock the other drivers trailor off while still keeping your's on. (Anyone who wants to race build your own trailer it can be any size and made out of balsa wood or cardboard)
Any other ideas for a race will be welcomed
Entry fee will be 5 dollars.
There will be a scoring system for races that can be scored and it will all be for fun.
There is limited power so bring a generator or just charge of your car and bring a table and chair for your pit.
Once to Wausau take the hwy 29 west exit and drive around 7 miles untill you see a golf course on the right. immediatly turn right on the road heading north next to the golf course (136th) and continue straight 3 miles. once you reach the gravel road continue straight 1 more mile untill you get to a very steep intersection. at the intersection turn left on (evergreen) and continue 2 to 3 miles. the track will be on your left look for signs.
Dylan could you post up the address for anyone with a gps system,
Thanks, and i hope everyone can make it, it should be a blast!!!

The weather looks perfect! Low 60's, sunny and no wind. It should be a great day.

Trailer Race - unbelievable!
I watched the video last night and have to say that the trailer race was unbelievable! The only BIG mistake that you guys made is that you really should have done a slow single file pace lap or two beforte the race so we could have gotten all of the trailers on camera before the destruction. I still can't beleive how much effort you put into those trailers! Bob's trailers looked too nice to even scratch and Kenny......that thing looked like a miniature Trailwind! Blaines cardboard and balsa wood was ideal for producing a realistic demolition. I will try to get the video up on utube this week. NICE JOB GUYS!

OFFICALLY CLOSED FOR THE YEAR
I'd like to thank those who have put time into the running of the track and to those that showed and had a good time.
But the track will be closed for the remainder of the year for any running.
Hopefully we will see you again come spring..
