Default The Den

Well, I visited "The Den" last night, Wed. 1-13-2004. This is a great race facility with a lot of potential. Imagine a HUGE racing surface, brand new carpet, WITH NO POLES anywhere on the racing surface. Lots of pit space, activities for the kids, and the place is CLEAN!!! I have been to many race tracks and the biggest turn-off to fresh hobby people and families is the normal lack of cleanliness at many tracks.
The facility is great, and easy to get to. Dust off some of those cars and get out and race.

I'll bring my foam car and race you.

It is pretty smooth surface-wise, there are a few ripples from re-laying the carpet each week but I think they can be smoothed out easily enough. The surface itself is perfectly flat (roller skating rink). I'd give it a shot.

Oldmember: We race oval on Wenesday Nights. We run 6 and 4 cell stock. As well as 4 cell brushless.

mr. losi: Yes we have had a few people drive a 12 scale on the track the last couple of weeks.

Hope to see you all Saturday.
P.S. The site is down yet again, I will have it back up in a few hours. Thx.

Matt - Its' smooth enough for 1/12 scale. The few wrinkles didn't upset my car when I ran it a couple weeks ago. Will be there again tomorrow night and maybe the 24 th.

Kevin....What were you guys running in pan-car...4 cell or 6 cell....stock or brushless. I thought it was 4 cell brushless running with 6 cell stock?? I need to get batteries set-up.

Also for some reason the domain we use (.TK) isn't updating. So instead of pointing to the new site it is pointing to the old one. This will be solved soon since we will be going to a .com. So for now it's http://thedenrcraceway.0pi.com. Let me know what you think of the design. It's not quite done yet, but should be very soon.
