So with everything said,

The two day race is now a no day race.
The schedule is nothing more than a thursday announcement.
The oval only ending still had people turning both ways.

Perhaps we should lighten up a bit and be thankfull there was a track to race at and meet new and old racers alike. Heck i'm still talking about stories from there..hmhmhmmm....mayer bashing!!!!......car no good....

When the schedule comes out for the pissing contest, I'll be tuning into the weather channel.

peace out,

In response to rumors currently circulating, the following information is being posted.

The carpet, counting system and miscellaneous equipment of "The Den" has been sold. Seven members of the current Dubuque club (with Kevin Genthe also retaining a share) will be opening a new track in September using facilities at the Dubuque County Fairgrounds. The program will emphasize Oval racing, however if LOCAL interest is there other formats may be included.

The Dubuque Fairgrounds RC Raceway will operate a full schedule of racing. The tentative schedule will include weekly races on Wednesday evening and weekend races on alternating Saturdays and Sundays in the Creative Arts building (36X65 track size). Four to six saturday special races including the traditional New Years Day event will be held in the 4H building using the full 48X90 carpet.

A new thread titled Dubuque Fairgrounds RC Raceway will started for further discussion.

Congrats guys!

Still the most sad thing in this whole deal is the death of summer onroad nitro down there... used to be the thing I looked forward to all year.

Know what you mean Clegg - I'd love to turn the clock back for lots of reasons - but all we can really do is look ahead if we expect anything to change.

Change, that will be interesting. Maybe Kev decided to take a break during the Brushless - LiPo transisiton. In a few years it will be much easier to make classes that match the current technology, instead of trying to hold on to the past and mix and match.
