Hi Andy. As far as setups, just lower the ride height and work from there to fine tune the handling with springs and such. Mach 28 huh. Hope you have metal gears in your tranny. Your gonna need them. Chuck

thank you Chuck, i'll get the metal gears, i'm going to up-grade the shocks as well. It should be a good set-up for this year, just have to tune it to the bigger engine. I'm hopeing it does great up at JJ's this year.

Proline makes the best shocks for the T-MAXX or you can run buggy shocks on it.

I thought proline discontinued the powerstroke kit. I would go buggy shock on it personaly.

Well from what Jackyl told me he won't be racing stadium trucks this year. He is selling his T4. I think he is afraid to race me and just coming up with excuses not to race it now.

You can still find the powerstroke shock kits on ebay. Its a little harder to get a good balanced handiling out of the buggy shock setup on a T-MAXX based racer from what Ive read and tryed myself. Alot of the more serious MT racers like the Powerstroke setups alot of um use them on the MGT's

scared?

I'm still in shock that a titanium ball stud broke off in the racers edge hub, but OnlY after I switched back to a 15t pinion, with the 18t pinion I went 5 packs and didn't break anything. So I think that it is cursed or that 15t pinion is jinx, not sure.

But as of right now the plan is to sell the T4 and the GTB/4.5R and stick with the LSP and Crawlers.

See you guys at the track.

I am going to be ordering AMB transponders within the next 2 weeks. If any of you are interested in one, your cost will be $90 each prepaid. If you plan on racing at Extreme Off Road Raceway this year , you will need a personal transponder as I will only have 2 loaners ( to be used only once by racers new to the track). These transponders are used at every track around the nation and further. They are extremely durable.
If you want to save some money both on the transponder and racing, join the Extreme Racing club. Dues are $25. You will save $5 on the transponder and $2 each race. If you come 10 times ,and order a transponder you will recover your $25. That is a deal! Along with the discount on racing and the transponder, you will recieve a 10% discount from Jims Hobby House in Beaver Dam. There could be more bennies coming. I am working on them.
Any questions, let me know. Chuck

Hey Chuck! can't wait to race at your track this year. What was your 1/8th scale buggy turnout last year?

Wrecking it? If you ain't wrecking it, you ain't driving hard enough!! JK! A side note, you can still get the powerstroke shocks from proline in individual sets, so by the time you are done equipping you truck, you are looking at near two hundred bucks! Can't wait to race this summer! Keep us posted on your Florida visit! Are you racing it at a track down there? Are you running rpm bearing carriers or can you get them?

For the Savage X SS I havent seen RPM carriers From what Ive heard the Stock ones are tough as nails, Ive seen aluminum ones though. NO Im not gona be there on any race dates they race Off Road like every other Sat. But there is free practice for 3 hours on Weds nights so that will give me a little time to get it broke in and such. This is where im gona visit http://stricklandrcpark.com/index.htm
