yes chuck congrats on the win....i must say without to much wrench time the xx4 was working ok....i had it bad in the main from the get go..although it wouldnt of mattered cause the pack was flat and dumped...

i had a blast though..

im in for touring car racing this winter..although i would prefer a saterday...it really dont matter to me...

I have also posted the above info on it's own thread in the Racer forum--here's the link http://www.rctech.net/forum/showthread.php?t=235097!! Keep it bumped up so we get the word out!!!!

Can't wait for carpet to start up, lots of good ideas floating around right now including LiPo 13.5 pan-car, and it appears as though The Great One, Fast Eddie Toth will take back his coveted TT-O1 series which will be returning to road course action!!! Many track changes as well, including the oval this year should provide for some exciting and entertaining laps!!!

In the words of NeverAGoodLap...............MMMMMMMMMMMMMM CARPET

Tom - I'm a lot more excited about finnishing the 1/8 scale main the last 2 weekends than the results. I'm re-discovering that 1/8 buggies arent all bad if you're lucky enough to keep one of them running.

Since you and Doug and Sam couldnt make it, and Chuck was running the computer we actually had more electric than nitro this past weekend.

The electric only race is just one weekend.

Ed - I'll take you up on the speeder/motor offer. Do you think 3800's will make time?

There is a track in Beaver that most of us will try to race at this winter. I am not sure yet though if they will run every week or not. They have not released any schedule as of yet. I hope to make it to TRS a few times this winter but Fridays are tough being 2 hours away. I am hoping to make the Lipo switch before this fall season and run 21.5/Lipo. If I never have to deal with brushed motors or NiMh cells again life will be good! I will keep watching for details here. Bob Rhodes

13.5 Lipo pan car would be insanely fast on the oval. 21.5/Lipo is the same speed as 13.5/4 cell. 13.5/Lipo would be near open mod speeds. I am not sure I am up for wheeling (or fixing) a car in that class.

Bob - I think they are still looking into using voltage regulators with the lipo batteries.

Sam - I think 3800s should make at least 7-8 minutes with the 13.5. I might still have an old 4400 that you can borrow as well (if I can find it).

If you want to pick it up this Sunday at the track, I'll give it to Brad, to give it to you because I can't make it this weekend.

Thanks Ed! I should be there sunday.

I will run some TT-01 road course this year...not if it's oval again. I think my 4 yr old son could run TT-01 too. He drives my 8th scale pretty well so i think he could handle a TT-01 with the throttle turned down a little.

I see. Had me worried there for a minute. LOL How does the voltage regulator work? I have never heard of this approach. Thanks Ed.
