Raul-That was just insane. If I was a ROAR official, I would have stopped the whole race after the F-Bomb attack in the drivers meeting and have a serious heart-to-heart with the race officials to get things straightened out for the next four days. But I'm not...so I'll do Monday-Morning QBing.

Well that sure was an "intersting race". I know 36 heats takes a long time to run, but there war 52 in cleavleand in less time, lol.

At least we were by no means rushed. Had all ther power i needed, just wish my car would have handeled better, oh and someone please tell me how to proerly gear a 12th scale mod car / set up the motor.....that was just plan crummy.

In all, i had a good time, cant wait for the next 1.

Me?? No, not this time. After hitting the track a few times, I found my car to be hanging some serious right u-bops. Finally Raul G came along, took a look at my ride and quickly found out the top plate of my BMI chassis was seriously tweaked. After he made some adjustments that compensated, the car ran much better, but the tire combo still wasn't right so the car was getting too much bite. By the time I figured out the right tire combo, qual points had knocked me out of having a good run, so I just decided to keep the car as is and have some fun with it...

The track was unforgiving and I saw a few cars literally explode -- I heard many people refer to the track as a hack track because of the way it was setup... Hit that wood one time real good and BAM, you weren't moving anymore!

Time to sell my TC3 and get something... Well you know.. faster..

If your up for a little trip the gate is having their season grand finale race the weekend of April 9 & 10. I know a few guys from the Buffalo area area planning on making the trip including me. I hope to see some of you there! I'll hopefully be sporting my new FK05' just as long as I can get the wide top deck in time.

Talking Daytona Speedway Spectacular Results

First, I would like to say congrats to all the Surge drivers who ran well at the Nats. I also wanted to thank Gary again for the awesome packs that he puts out. I'm still running my packs from the birds and they helped me to qualify for the 19T A-Main at the 2005 Daytona Speedway Spectacular. The racing in 19T was unbelievable as drivers were bumped in and out of the Main after every qualifying heat. I think it was less than a lap between the 1st and 10th place qualifier and the main resembled a Nextel Cup plate race as we formed a train and and flew round the track for 4 minutes. It was one of the cleanest mains I've ever seen. The cars were flying and everyone pretty much held their positions with the exception of a few who switched spots in the middle of the pack. I've included the main results so you can see how close it was. I've also included a picture of the 19T A-Main drivers. Overall it was a great race and I hope to see more Surge drivers there next year.

Hope to see some of the Surge Drivers at the Oval nats.

My racing this past weekend was well let's say Why do I keep running 4 cell stock
After a wreck puts me 3rd in Qualifing
and after taking the lead in A main
i got caught up in lap traffic and well pulled off due to damage

the packs ran great and I'll be getting with ya for a pack or 2 for Nats

Default Stylin'

Gary, well I guess your still recovering so I'd better be more specific. Did you get a chance to get that body mounted before you left? If so, how did it look? It's not always how good you ran, but how good you looked doing it.

Chris, couldn't make the Daytona race as I was on call for work. Looks like Pedano stole the show. Nice job on making the A with that group. There were at least 2 national champs in there that I can see.

The body looked really nice, Barry. I got a lot of compliments on it as it wasn't the typical body you see at a big race. You did a really great job. I'll send you something this week for your hard work. Thanks so much!!

Congrats go to Mike & Mike & Raul - I hear you guys did pretty darn well at the nats. I heard about the problem you had Raul, sorry to hear about that, that certainly wasn't right...

I hear the cells ran really well...
