Dear ORCA:

I would like to run in 21.5 blinky TC class with your VX3 esc, 21.5TX motor with HT rotor.

Could you tell me what range of FDR i should try on those 2 tracks of following photos, please?

What motor timing could you recommend me?
I thought should use lowest timing then run smallest fdr.

What temperature is limit of TX motor?

What kind of setup should run on blinky class with VX3?

Best regards

Since ORCA themselves are unlikely to write here, I'll give it a try (before EAM shows up, at least. )

IIRC the usual recommendation for ORCA TX in blinky was to run them timed a tiny bit beyond the "+" sign, and then gear for temps.

I would try to stay around or below 70°C/160F with any motor, at least for continued use.

Setup... well, blinky tells you what to do on all the Timing and Turbo settings, which only leaves Drag Brake (personal preference, really) Initial Brake (also personal preference), Punch(high for a 21.5T... 8-10 and you just might try 10 first) and both PWMs (depends... high values for a smooth and flowing feel, low values, if you prefer more of a "kick" on either or both, throttle and brake)

Default VX3 17.5 timing

Bought a 2wd buggy that came with a brand new vx3 motor. Anybody point me in the direction of the timing sweet spot? It's a losi 22 buggy if that matters.

Thanks!

There's no VX3 motor. The latest ESC is called the VX3, while motors are either TX or RX series (and there's RX3 or the older RX2 in the latter).

Should you refer to my post, that's only valid for timing on a TX motor, not the RX series. (I don't own an RX motor and I don't remember ever seeing an answer when people asked about timing on the RX motors on here).

Default USB link issue

Hi there,

Can somebody please explain to me how to get the USB link software working? I keep getting an error message when trying to run the program after installation.
I have the orca USB link adapter and program card. I went to the orca site and downloaded the USB link software. I tried installing it which apparently was successful. Then I try executing the program from the desktop icon or the one I got in my start menu and both ask me to plug in the USB device. I plug in the USB adapter with the program card connected and I still get the error.

I used to different computers and get the same errors.

Thanks

I had the same problem when I attempted to use the USB Link on a 64 bit version of Windows it only runs on 32 bit Windows.

Thanks for the advice Skitee. I will have to un-dust my long forgotten old netbook with 32bit Windows.

The Orca guys should sort that out, really only old or very low end machines run on 32 bits...

I was wondering if anybody had contact info or info on how to get a hold of orca for warranty service.
Hi,
Did you find out what was wrong with it?

legend. after a couple frustrating nights I found your post.
Not being very technical, now I've got the drivers updated and the USB Link working, should I change the Driver Signature Verification back to enabled?

Hi,

Glad to hear it is working. The verification is typically enabled again by default during the next reboot. You should be ok.

Ian
