Hey everyone, just wanted to congratulate gtypecanare for his TCS regional win. Great job! Now, do you think you can do it at the nats? Possibly the last for F201. Rod, there is a great possibility that I will be at the TCS nats this Aug. Dates aren't firm yet. Erika, do you still have packs for me?

You know I did read that too.
I believe for those who use the same turbomatchers that you get the .05 with = 50mv....I think you better ask Danny over in the SMC thread.
All I know is on a warm day set your peak detect at 3mv per cell or 18mv for the pack depending on your charger. On cooler days bump up 1 or 2 so like 24 or 36 but only use 36 if it is really cold. And also don't let your cells get hotter than 45*C I think thats like 118*F or there abouts.
I hope this helps,
Stephen <><
I have never used more the 4mv per cell, just to be clear.

Neil, it's great to hear from you, I'm sure you've got some funny f'ed up stories to tell when you get back. I certainly hope that you can make it out here for the nats for the past chump race. I'll hook you up with a super secret TA05 setup when you make it out. Bad news about the past chump race is that they're more than likely going to make it a spec battery again to level the playing field.

Hey guys and girls!!! Em and I want to thank everyone for the well wishes, we came home Sunday evening and all is well. I have been watching the thread still, didn't see a need to chime in...you guys are handling it.LOL She has been up late at night but luckily she hasn't made a super long night of staying awake. I plan to be racing this weekend, hope I get a good nights sleep the night before,LOL, if not that would make for a long day running the races and racing.

D_Ames- I use .04 on my GFX and between 15mv and 18mv on my LRP Pulsar. I vary it depending on the outside temp. when we race. It seems lately I have used 18mv. As for comparing what SMC states versus the PM site, I wish I could help you there.Maybe Erika can help out when she talks to Jeff but I know was out today (or at least she wasn't there when I called) I am sorry I can't help you more D_Ames.

Default 1 millivolts = 0.001 volts

Thanks Promatchrcr....my research convinces me that 1 millivolts = 0.001 volts.

So I'm 99.99% sure .04 = 40mv. Now the question is why is there such a disparity between chargers?? .040 on a turbo 35 and 15-18mv(.015-.018) on an LRP (I have both)???

help

D_ames: The 2 chargers are very different in how they measure the voltage drop. The Turbo measures the voltage with constant current being applied. The LRP pauses the current momentarily and takes a voltage sample and then makes a decision. The LRP is always taking a voltage reading, but you will notice slight drops every so often. That is when the peak detection samples are made. I have seen a couple of European chargers that use this technique. American chargers do not.

Thanks....just don't want my Promatch batteries to fry with too high of a peak detect. I've been using .020 on the turbo and 20mv on the LRP thinking they were both the same. Both seem to work fine and neither get the battery too hot. So actually that's too high of a peak on the LRP and too low on the turbo....confusing

Thanks for the help everybody

i never use higher then .3mvc-4mvc om my eagle
all the batts just charge fine , just don`t do it in direct sunlight ,that really does mess things up (learn form your/my mistakes )

when you do 3mvc just x by 6 to get pack value (ie;;6x3 = 18mvp) we are going back to school
