I race stock and i used 1.2mm sway bars all around, and my shcok setup was yellow/black front, and stock gold rear, and 50lb shock fluid all around. My ride height was about 5mm. Any suggestion guys on good asphalt setup? HELP PLEASE.
Hi, one major thing I noticed are your tires. RP30s and 110deg Temp don't mix. We run Sorex40s all the way even at night (I live in a tropical country and it's always hot and humid), also, what is the track condition? was it prepped? Did you check your chassis for scratches? You might be bottoming out too...or the sides of your chassis is hitting the ground. I Hope this helps

Well most of the racers were using rp30's on the track so i thought it was alright. And yes the track was prepped, and yes the bottom of my chassis was a little scratched up...but that was due to flying over the boards .

axel....I can assure you that the RP30's work fine when "track temps" are only 110deg. I've run them here in Florida on track temps of 145deg without issue (mod sedan).

The first thing I notice is that you said your car was hopping; This normally means your oil is to thick.

You think it might not have been the springs too? It was the first time i used the yellow/black ones. And should i go from 50wt to 45wt? Alot of the guys noticed how my car was acting as well, i didn't have enough time to realize it might have been shocks.

okay so just imagine going full throttle down a straight than you make a hard right, then all of a sudden you notice how the front were bouncing.

axel...I'm not familar with the Pro4 and it's springs, but that is a common trait to a car with to heavy of oil or no droop. The only other issue would be mechanical, such as binding hinge-pins, poorly built shocks, moving parts that are over tightened, etc etc....

Oops, my bad we're used to using Celsius instead of Fahrenheit, so roughly 110F is 43C and 145F is 62C, but we still end up using Sorex 40s and it's just right but some guys use Sorex36 at night but overall, 40s are the most common in my local track.

Who makes the RP tires? Thanks

Keep in mind we are discussing "track temp or surface temp" not air temp

RP's are made be TakeOff and was used at this years Reedy Race of Champions.

in the pro4 setup it says rear anti-squat will affect the absorbtion of bumps, sooo...less spacers mean for more bumps?

Hey Jason,

I think my friend bought a BMI TC4 Chassis from you yesterday. He told me that you have it in various colors. Could you please show me (in pictures) what colors you have. I would really appreciate it. After that, I think I will get one for myself.
