Chris-the TC4 conversion uses the stock motor mount/cam.

The eTC3 is the one that uses the BMI motor mount.

Looking forward to this weekend. Mini might be running a TC3..... along with his 1 1/12th scale. I did some work on the chassis since R/C Screwz. LMK if you want me to bring anything. glad to see Bob will make it.
Just get ready for lots of questions. I ran the car tonight and was as far up as 3rd in the A then a slight mishap and left rear turnbuckle snapped. Kinda neat hit. The car went a little crazy then. I was on pace for a 23 5:00.39 in the second qualifier and stuffed it into a corner. The TQ was a 23 5:05.xx... It was still a good night for racin though.

See you this weekend. I picked up a monster stock to run at Lansing.

hello, i need some setup advice for my bmi tc3. i run on a tight carpet track and i usually run stock or 19T. i seem to allways have the same problem with my car that i dont have enough steering on power and at high speeds. i would say alittle tight at the apex of the corner too. at low speeds the car seems to steer pretty good till i pick up the throttle--even easing into the throttle it pushes. here's my setup and some of the things i've tried:

front
yellow springs 70wt oil #2 pistons-- tried purple springsbut just made it 3 wheel bad.
f-0 with an f block-- tried -2deg. kick down
6deg castor block switched from 4--helped a little
rear shock tower on front shock on in side hole out side on arm-- tried inside on arm but made steering inconsistent
.05 sway bar --nitro steering rack turned around also tried slide rack--upper link on tower up and to inside.
4mm ride height 1mm actual drop
back
copper springs 70wt oil #2 pistons-- tried 60wt before
shocks mounted on the outside on tower and arm.
r block with 2-0 block--- had f block with 2-2 Block seemed to help a little--- losi .5 rear hubs mounted normal way ball stud on outside and on outside top on tower. hubs forward
4.5mm ride height 3mm droop

batteries forward-parma alfa body-purple plaids on front purples on rear, have ran dbl pink and dbl pink orange before but was wearing them out fast in 19t and car acted the same.

hope i didn't forget anything. thanks you for any advice you can give. keith

keith-I recently went back to a tc3 to test if I could go quicker with one. I will trya nd offer some small changes that might help.

#1-diffs. Is the front tight (Hold the rear wheels and spur and try and turn one front wheel)? SHouldnt be able to even move it at all. Rear diff should be able to make it turn, but with some effort. And they should feel very free when counter-rotating. If they feel gummy and are also NOT tight-your problem is most likely diffs.

#2-Your too heavily damped in the back. try 40 wt oil or at most 50 wt oil.

#3 try your rear link in the inside top position on the shock tower and then move to the inner position on the rear hub-raise it up 0.030 to start.

#4 try going back to the Purple front spring-but this time use a #3 piston. if your dumping that hard over the front wheel-your probably underdamped.

#5 Put roll in your radio or make sure you dont have any drag brake in your ESC.

This should provide you with a days worth of testing!!!

Hope it helps,
Ray
