That is great to hear. I really like my new chasis for carpet racing. I did very well for my first carpet race. I came in second b-main run, but I am not that familiar with my car. Normally I race nitro. Their is so much stuff to learn about racing electric. I did fairly well for having nitro equipment instead of full electric equipment as most of my friends own. It was fun and the BMI chasis on carpet is like pointing and shooting. This chasis performs as well as it looks. Great craftsmanship by Jason for performance. Keep up the good work and I doubt if I am your last customer.

Here is a set up I have been running on the rug and it works well and is easy to drive:

Front:
70 wt. oil
Yellow springs mounted on the inside hole of the rear shock tower installed up front. Inside hole on the arm. Camber link top inside hole on the tower...

0* toe / 4* caster blocks (I am using the NTC3 steering rack)

Rear:
60 wt. oil
Purple springs shocks mounted outside hole on the tower...F+2+0 block...
I eliminated some rear toe by installing Losi 1/2* hubs backwards...Camber link top inside hole tower, inside in the hubs.

I am running about 2mm up travel F/R

TM racing purple foams rear and TM racing plaids front...

Good luck racing!

Kevin

Default BMI Chassis-NTC3 steering rack

I am very unfamiliar with the NTC3 car. Could somebody post the part#'s for what I need to change from std. tc3 steering to the NTC3 rack. I hear it has much less "slop". Maybe if anybody knows of why somebody SHOULD NOT change, opionins would be helpfull to help me make a decision.

Thanks.

Wannabee, you left out tires.

Aycier:
ntc3 swing rack #2228
ntc3 swing rack hardware #2229
You might want to change the bushings out to bearings. I use the ntc3 stearing system on my tc3 and it works great, very smooth.

I belive Junior Norton finished 6th in Masters Stock TC "A". His car was awesome.

I run for Warpspeed and finished 7th in the Stock "A".

Good weekend for both BMI and Warpspeed. Lets keep the friction down. Both cars are great.

Hi,

Rob Love,

It was good seeing you again at Cleveland. your car was hooked up!!!!!! and your batteries were awesome. Didn't you run mod too???

as for not changing to the nitro rack..... it does drive a little different than the stock rack but it should only take a few times to get used to it. the reasons for changing to the nitro rack are less slop, better durablity, quicker steering, better ackerman. a stock rack cost my son a good run in the "B" main last year at Cleveland. as for part #'s I'll post them when I get home. I think you should at least try the nitro rack it's only about 12 bucks for everything and some minor adjustments to the steering turnbuckles. and a few minutes to install.

Wannabe;

what pistons??? 2's or 3's close to what we ran at Cleveland except we had whites up front plus a .062 swaybar. and Jaco foams.

Thanks

They are 2's, I tried the set-up with a sway bar and didn't like it real well...

I am running this set-up on a very tight high bite ozite track...

In regards to the Nitro Rack. Would it be worth the extra money to purchase the K Factory version from Trinity? Thanks.

That's exactly what I did. Then I used four bearings instead of the bushings. It works smooth as can be.

AE steering racks works just fine unless you feel the need to spend a little more.
