That is a good place to start with gearing. Depends on the size of your track. I have run up to 75/25. Keep the timing low on the motor 0 to +4. The higher the C rating is on your batteries the better the motor will run in blinky mode.

KV ratings are mostly all smoke and mirrors on spec motors. KV ratings can be adjusted with timing. The highest rated KV spec motor will not be the fastest motor with out the torque to get it there.

Hi Matt, I used my brand new 17.5 murfdog motor last night in my short course truck. All I can say is WOW! I am very impressed with this motor! I ran against a mix of modd motor'd short courses.. I was able to keep up and beat most of them with my motor, well chassis set up was perfect too. I absolutely love how smooth the power delivery is and how cool the motor ran, never got over 125 degrees in a 7 minute heat. My hats off to you Matt! thanks!

Great job Roosterxp! Gotta love Murfdogg Performance!!!

Onroad Pro TC Class today was very successfull for Murfdogg Products (10.5T, 5500/65c Batteries, and Octane Booster) taking TQ, 3rd, and 5th positions on the starting grid. Finished up the Main with 1st, 2nd, and 4th places, resulting in securing first place points lead within the ongoing 2012 Points Series Race. Thanks for the superb products Matt!!!!

Will the Octane Power Boost module work with the Castle Creations Mamba Max Pro? Is it needed with this ESC?

Thanks!

Please excuse my limited familiarity with Mamba Max Pro...technically the Octane Booster will work in place of the units stock capacitor, but I haven't seen it actually used on one yet.

ok, no problem! I will try it both ways and let everyone know how the MMP works with the booster. Thanks

another question... what is the difference between the Synergy 1.1 black motor and the 1.0? blue motor?
Is it only the solder connections or is there a better reason to get the 1.1?

Thanks

I run a sc10 2wd and wanted to give this motor a try, but I cant find a way to order it through their website and I see no prices??

If anyone could help me out that would be greatly appreciated, just wanna put the tekin redline aside for a while and try somthing different. I run 17.5 if that helps any?

You can contact Matt directly at [email protected]. You can also purchase them through a few mail order places. He tries to check in on here but with 9 different forum boards it hard for him to keep up with them and build rocket fast motors all the time.

I have been running a Murfdogg 17.5 in my SC10 for over a month now and love it! Good power. I qualified 4th and finished 8th in stock SC at Motorama. Indoor racing I have: 2 TQs, 3 1st place finishes, and 1 2nd place finish. All in Pro2. I can't wait to try a Murfdogg 13.5 outdoors. Keep up the good work Matt !!

Just getting into mod buggy with my b4.1...

Any suggestions for a motor?

Looking at the 10.5 but want to be sure I am heading in the correct direction.

The 10.5t is an awesome motor that provides good speed, smooth delivery and easy to drive in 2WD Buggy. If you already have experience with 2WD Buggy, I would recommend a 8.5t. Initially if you have to get used to it, you can tame it down with esc programming and work up to its full potential later. You wouldn't be dissapointed with either choice.
