Had an awesome time at CRC's Meltdown! 83 entries.

Swapped out the boosted 17.5 MurfDogg for a Blinky 13.5 MurfDogg (rules).

Qualified 7th in Pro2. Had a good run with the 13.5 and finished 5th.

Murfdogg Products used at the 4th round, 2012 El Paso, TX Points Season Onroad Race. Murfdogg 10.5T Synergy, 5500mAh Supercharger Battery, and Octane Booster performed flawlessly throughout 6 qualifiers and a 10 min A-Main. Had to settle for second place finnish, due to own driving mistake, but retained points series lead. Thanks Matt, for such quality products that provide fantastic performance!!!

I believe you want to run a combo that yeilds a 7.8 FDR. Recommend confirming with Cameron Kellogg, as he dominated the 17.5 SCT class everywhere he raced.

I was running an SC10 and I normally ran 75 or 78 depending on the track. FDR around 7.8 and the first time out check temps every couple of minutes to make sure you not getting the motor too hot with that gearing on your track.

Be smooth on the throttle and make them chase ya.

how should I gear a 17.5 for the 22T? I currently have a 81T spur on

Should be about the same. I am not sure what the Losi trans ratio is. If you have room for a 27t pinion and if the trans ratio is 2.6 the that will give you a FDR of 7.8. I think you could run around 7.5 or less with a 22t. They weight a lot less then a SC truck does.

Considering your running on a good sized off-road track. I have never won a race for being the fastest down the straight so I always tried to run less gear and if I could match others speed on the straight then I knew I could run faster through the infield. You don't want motor temps to get over 140 deg but you don't have to get your motor hot to run out front either.

I am not concerned about being the fastest down the straight just being able to clear the triple at the track like the others...I run at two decent sized indoor clay tracks.

Default Murfdogg Products

Murfdogg Products performed superbly and secured top two spots on the grid at the 6th round, 2012 El Paso, TX Points Season Onroad Race. Using Murfdogg 10.5T Synergy, 5500mAh, 65c Supercharger Battery, and Octane Booster drivers TQ'ed and took both 1st and 2nd podium places during the 10 min A-Main. Murfdogg Products also bested the track record posting laps 2 tenths a lap faster than previously acheived!!! These combined products have truly enabled podium results every time out. A huge appreciation to Matt, for such quality products that provide noticably superb performance on the track!!!
