BERT's upgrades can be found on the tc4 thread , post #12996 & #13037.... If you want to further lighten the tc4, then you'll have to take out all the steel parts and screws, and replace them with alloy, and I mean absolutely everything from the ball diff spring and bolt to the body pins and suspension springs.... It will be expensive, but the zero steel rule is BERT's last upgrade suggestion. It will save about 20 to 50grams........

No picture... My tc4's are not modified to the extent I'm suggesting here, and my suggestions are for those who have CNC machines at their disposal, and can create their own parts with the lighter titanium or aluminum alloys.... The most I can do is change my screws to aluminum. I can't make titanium axles, springs, bolts, lcd drives,etc.....

Orca makes a nice motor fan mount that slips over the motor and should work

Diggity makes a lot of Carbon Fiber for the Caster racing cars. GREAT quality and super prices.

Top shorty packs for dc4le: Orca, Smc, protek, trakpower, thunderpower g6, EAM shorty packs, etc.....
Most of the racers noticed a big difference between these brands and the nanotechs....just sayin......
Also, the top guys select their rotors, stators with the expensive mms,rms testers on top of running them on the trinity motolyser... Maybe there are good motor tuners out there using these same techniques willing to sell you their rocket mills. That should get the dc4le closer to invincibility...
Good luck ......

I have a couple of FT TC4's collecting dust, but I thought I might revive one for some 17.5 racing. Would it be cheaper to buy an entire DC4LE or would it be possible to upgrade some of the TC4 parts (chassis/top deck/shock towers) to the DC4LE parts?

I have bought a NIB DC4LE conversion from Diggity for between $175 and $200 (I don't recall). I bought a used DC4LE for about the same $. Since the conversion is a main chassis, upper deck, motor mount, and shock towers, it's hard to go wrong with a used one.

Just built up my DC4, really nice and am wondering if there is any advantage between either inner Camber Link mounting method.

I currently have setup with the modded stock mounting blocks as it's what I am used to for adjusting roll center but it would look cleaner using the DC4 tower mounting locations for the links.

Was thinking the vertical mounting as I have it now would be more tunable and the in way of doing it as seen on most modern cars like TC6.1W/6.2. If this is 'better' then why did Diggity design in the horizontal tower mounting points?

Anyone prefer one method over the other?
