isn't 9.6 kind of high for peak voltage on a new pack?

It really deonds on the charger sometimes but after a few runs that usually drops (if it starts high). I wouldn't sweat it really since the pack hasn't been run much; it will level out.

That is usually the case.
Most of the time my packs will level out at 8.6V

I have told my LHS to get your packs but she saids it is too much to add another distibutor....bla bla bla...I hope she one days sees the light....unless you are distributed through Horizon or Great Planes, she won;t order them....I guess she doesn't want my money then. Oh well I try to buy local and support my local Hobby Shop but I can help them if they won't help them selves.

I know the feeling it`s the same over here in the uk
Cos i am new to the game of distribution a lot of shops are not intrested, unless it`s cml, helgar, mirage, Just pants, there loss racers gain

Well I will be racing SoCal on the 26 as my inlaws live in Anaheim and I finally conviced my wife to take a day with her MOM and let me go play. We will be at here parents house all weekend so have to have some sort of escape..LOL. I will be racing at Hot Rods mostly, I got the wifes OK to go every other Saturday and when the Jimmy Babcock series starts I will be at every event for that. If your out at SoCal on the 26 and see a 6'2" husky guy driving a orage and blue Yokomo in intermediate come by and say hi. I always like to have a face to names as my memory is shot do to some childhood drug abuse LOL..... Yea thats what it is....couldn't be the fact I am thiry next month.

I bought 3 PMR packs in one of the 3 for sales...being a newbie I wired them up so the orange end of the last battery was positive and the green was negative. I then doublecheck my work with my VOM and noticed the green was + and the orange end -, so I swapped the wires and have run the packs for about a month now without any issues. Today, I bought a Novak Smart Tray, and it says to put 3 batt bars up, and 2 down, and to align the + and - ends of the pack with the markings on the tray..however, when I do that I have 2 bars up, and 3 down.

Is aligning the bars the correct way, or aligning the battery bars?
