You gotta flip it over so they match up correctly. If you put that pack in the tray wrong and hit that button say bye bye to it. I can almost guarantee you the pack will be toast soon after.

so line up the polarity and not the battery bars..which is what I thought but I figured I'd make sure and ask before toasting a perfectly good pack

NO, both have to be lined up correctly

you may have turn the pack over with the terminals(bars) facing downward.
