(1) Just to clarify, thats the Trinity DUO 17.5 and ESC Throttle Profile 3.

(2) Have you tried any other 17.5 motors (eg: the TEKIN redline), and if so, how do they compare with each other ?

Thanks

Trinity motors aren't the best (sorry), we had a Trinity and a Tekin both geared exactly the same and the trinity smoked on the last lap and was noticeably slower throughout the race. Could have just been a bad motor I dont know but all the Tekin motors I've owned I havent had a single issue with.

how much use did your trinity motors have?
I'm guessing the tekins were new.

Its hard to judge one motor to the next without having testing 2 brand new motors!

Duo I used the following:

- Middle hole on the motor
- 22 degrees boost
- 3.76 FDR

This was for a large track but it was very fast on the straight. This particular motor always liked a lot of gearing. Unfortunately I toasted it this weekend. I meant to turn the motor timing down and for some reason I mistakenly turned it up (I may have had a gear mesh problem as well) and after about 3 minutes the motor got to 241 and melted.

Yeah, not sure what I was thinking. I was rushing to fix stuff and at the last minute thought, hey Im going to turn down my timing by moving it to the first hole and for some reason moved it to the 3rd. Then when putting the motor back on didn't get the mesh right so quickly tried to fix it before the run but was running with a partially stripped spur. So between those 2 things the motor melted. The car was BALLISTIC during that run though. I guess that should have been my first clue.

It was a rough weekend for me. Bunch of weird stuff kept happening in touring car.

Default Hotwire v3.25

this is anoying.... vista 32, never had any tekin software on it ever. So the deleteing tekin.esc procedure will have no effect before install. So after installing v3.25 straight off the tekin website, i get the values outside range error when i plug the car in.

Tekin.. please cancel your programmers rock climbing holidays and get him/her/them to write a nice version and stop using the users as a beta testing ground. I/we dont mind beta testing car related features, but when a program wont even install with out tricks and gives errors like im getting, then your just wasting our time.

Now ive had my winge, how about a pda version ???

BTW i love my rs pro, just not the software.
