Hey guy's, gotta brag on my 10 year old son a little bit! He won the spec touring class A-main at the N.C. State Championship race on Saturday. He did so against a field of shaft car's, not bad considering this class has to run the Trinity 1600 spec batteries and the street spec motor's. So handling and smooth driving are a must as this is a lower cost class that a few veteran's run in!
He was running the latest set-up that Paul posted on here except with a front diff. Track temp was about 140 midday, so we ran the cs-32's, then ran the 27's as the main was at sundown.
Also good to meet you at the Nat's Paul. Your'e car looked pretty good in the main last Sunday. Do you guy's stock any of the lightweight driveshaft's such as al. or ti. Let me know if you do so I can order some.

HenryJ- Schumacher USA does stock Ti axles. Congratulations on your son's win. That's quite an accomplishment for a 10 year old!!!
Raul- this is a quote from Vic (aka Mr. Warpspeed) "The new changes are the batteries are moved 5.6mm forward, and 3 deg of an angle towards the front. As you can see it is an equal chassis. It will be available in 2mm and 2.5mm, with solid plate only. You still have the servo that can be moved in or out, or facing forward. I kept the chassis as narrow as possible. On the tweak station the car balances perfectly."
Again, I'll be curious to see if the chassis is actually an improvement over the stock chassis. I believe the balance might be better than stock, and the 2.5mm chassis coupled with the solid upper deck may be an improvement on carpet. We'll have to see.

where are you guys running your personal Transponders?..as they are advised not to be mounted over Carbon..
i was thinking ontop of the servo would be best, as there is the cutout underneath the servo..anyone had any probs running theirs?...

I run mine on top of the servo with no problems what so ever.

I cut a recess in the top of the foam bumper, that way you use no screws or tape. And it's fully protected.

Can people please add where thier transponder loop is, and I don't mean "at the start/finish line", I mean in a bridge over the track, or imbedded in the track, and if this makes a difference.
In my 1:1 scale experience, the signal from a transponder can pass through composites or plastic (obviously including Carbon, even with an aluminium honeycombe), but not through ferrous metals. We also use personal trannys by AMB, although, they are a bit bigger!
