kenji, you holding another big vta race this summer? i think i owe robk a little something (or is it the other way around? ).
rob, imagine the accolades i'd have received if that 'move' was done to haynes in one of the grand slam legs! hehe... (filthy!!!)

I know, I'm the one busting on him!!!! We all love Scooby around here, but when I seen the tire warmers, in concourse, I just had to laugh....

I'm sure with a really good driver, it would make a slight difference in the first few laps, until the tires heated up on their own.
Plus, I don't treat our track with any additives (i.e soda) for what it's worth....
Still a bit much for VTA racing though....

i'm not a rubber guy (nor am i ray murray ), but given that vta is a heads up start EVERY round, i would think that being ready at the tone would more than just a 'minor detail'. in fact, i lost my first ever vta race when i spun out in the first turn, (after tq'ing by a good margin).
again, this is on the presumption that the vta tires do, indeed, perform better after a few laps. for my particular setup/car that weekend, that was the case.
man, that was a ton of fun.
