I just ran the LIghtened Clutch Bell from 3 Racing this past weekend. After I ripped up two bearings inside said clutch bell I went back to the Mugen one. 3 Racing is cheap and you get what you pay for.

been using the 3 racing clutch bell with three duratrax bearings,
both products are cheap but no problems so far for the last 6 months
I do lubricate the bearings with light oil every other race meeting, so far no slop
but I do rotate the 3 of them

I'm glad you guys have had better luck. I had new bearing in there and that didn't matter. I shimed it correctly and checked the play compared to the Mugen stock part. All seemed correct. However, when I took it off after a 5 min run there were balls everywhere.

a 5x7x0.1mm shim between the two inner bearings helps, perhaps
the bearings of the engine are tired, or the endplay or gap was
too big, will try to use the yeah racing bell which is lighter, I´ll see how it performs later

make sure you use a 5x8x0.5mm shim between the 6x13 bearing and the pin on the uprights, besides adding some offset, it will prevent the wear on the plastic hexe, no need to get aluminum and lighter weight!

I personaly only use alum where it cant stress or get bent!

it may be lighter but you cant tell when it's got tweek in it.

so i stick to plastic mostly but some alum where i can.

sorry i did not see the word pulley there !

thats diffrent pullys dont wear out as quick and are lighter and stronger.

Has anyone tried the 3 racing harden alum pinion gear

Has anyone tried the 3 racing harden alum pinion gear? The stock mugen pionon gear wears out too quickly and then it stripes the 2nd gear.

I know their blue plastic gear sucks, (I tried them and they are not round).
