For me, I race stock. You just cant beat a buttery-smooth ball diff. The ball diffs are a bit lighter too, less rotational mass.

Did you mean gear diff in the first paragraph?

Gear diffs blow the web gears too much at high rpm, whereas a ball diff could be spun alot faster with no signs of failing, specially if you use ceramic balls , and goop the diff bolt well !

The Steve Weiss WCRC Club race setup should be pretty good on carpet too. I'll start with my WCRC Club race setup at the IIC carpet race. It should be pretty good.
Im sorry if this is a silly questions as I'm new to TC. But 3 degrees positive toe in the rear? Would this help the car turn as the inside rear wheel would be lighter than the outside, and with the positive toe it would help it turn better?

Thank you very much for those. I will try them Sunday and go from there.

This refers to 3 deg toe in. This stabilizes the car and improves rear traction.

The aluminum screws are very nice. I didn't have any problems tightening them enough to use on the bottom of the chassis for the bulkheads. The blue looks sick against the black RSD camber mounts --- I'm highly considering getting the whole car done in black now

Yes, good catch my friend. I really should think about posting following a few "cocktails".

How quickly are yall going thru the 6x10mm bearings in the front hubs? After 2 weeks, I have substantial play in left front bearings, mild play in the right front, mild play in the left rear.

Im just getting back into TC racing, so Im a little rusty. But I wasnt tagging walls broadside, just a couple front taps on the bumper.

Is this a known problem area? Are there more durable bearings available(like the Acer Ceramics)?

Is it the bearing itself or in the steering & rear hubs? If you score the inside of the hubs with a hobby knife it helps take away some of the play.

Same story here , but in my car it happened after 5 months of racing. I've replaced the stock ones with ABEC35 bearings.Cheaper tha Many others but perfect for the purpose and better than stock ones.

The bearings in the steering and rear hubs are not good. They hardly survive easy crashes. I immediatly replaced them with ceramic bearings from Acer and never had a problem since them (since 10 months).
