You did right setting both belts the same. All belts aren't made equal, so one will almost always be different than the other. No big deal. Idealy you want the belts as loose as you can run them without skipping for reduced friction...

I had the belts at the point where is just doesn't skip. But it seems the belts vibrate so much that my top speed was hindered. I made it one notch tighter, and felt the car pull faster. Also, the TA05 chassis flexes forward, so your belts actually get looser upon braking. Make sure you test the tension of the belts while listening during full braking.

13.5 brushless with 64 p 46T pinion and 96T spur.
This set up will probably only work with a one way. I'm considering adding .5 mm of front kick up and/or soft back springs because the car turns in hard. Most people who test drive my car hit pipes on entry.

The stock set up will get you within the ballpark but you will need to get the right tires for your track, that is about 80% or more of the set up. Next is to stiffen the suspension, I prefer the white springs in front and 50wt with blue in back and 40wt. That combo seems to work well with a 13.5 motor. Camber is -1 all around and I use CS27 tires or Sorex 28. No rear stabilizers.

I stopped by the local track and one of the guys into Tamiyas said the out of the box set up would be good starting point.
I forgot to ask him, anyone know what the stock shock oil weight is. I looked through the manual and don't see the actual weight referenced anywhere.
Also, what that Tamiya oil weight equals in some other brands.

Hey guys...
I've got a new IFSr, have raced twice now...great car! Really loving it.
Anyone know what size turnbuckle wrench is necessary for the stock blue aluminum turnbuckles? Getting tired of using the kit wrench and marring up the nice blue color! I think it's 4mm, but want to make sure before spending $ on a nice new wrench. Thanks!
