Just posted the setup I ran on Sunday on my website, www.mo-net.ws . Hopefully it won't rain this Saturday so I can run it again.

Mo, Have you ever driven the TC3? If yes, how do they compare? Any difference?

Only once, a year or two ago. The track was pretty loose so it torque steered like crazy.

Futureal,

Did Tossolini's car have the lower chassis brace like the SD? I thought that it did not. Seems with the lower brace front to rear flex would be minimal and worse case scenario a new top deck might need to be made by Yokomo or an aftermarket company.

Rob,

Check out the ROAR Carpet Nationals page on the main R/C Tech site. There are some close-up pictures of the car that Tosolini ran at the race, complete with the braces.

racingdc9- I have driven a TC3 for awhile and the only thing the same handling wise is the acceleration. The SD had no torque steer issues at all on it's first outing and it was silent on the track like a belt car. Every TC3 that I've had has been kinda noisy from the first pack through it, not with this car.

Futureal,

CT's car does have the lower brace. Look at the Yok site and you will see a brace that runs underneath of the shaft. I think this will help front to rear, but side to side!!!! Only time will tell.

Thanks for pointing to those pics. Cracking me up with all of those top decks

I'm driving the TC3 right now and it's doing well, but driving with the spool in the front is good, but can be very hard on the dogbones, i'm using the pin cusions and in 19T they get chewed up within 2-3 battery packs. I'm waiting for the yoke also, let's see how if It holds up a little better then the TC3

Warlord385, KT Hobbies will be stocking parts as well. I don't think you will have anything to worry about.
